Good time to be a car buyer
From an article from the carconnection:
As of December 1, the "leaders" or losers, if you would, with over 200 days' supply were: Honda Insight at 768, Chevrolet SSR at 301, Chrysler Crossfire at 286, Saab 9-3 at 248, Olds Aurora at 240, Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder at 236, Mitsubishi Eclipse at 229, and Isuzu Ascender at 207.
According to Automotive News, the industry average supply was 81 days, the highest in history for December 1, with the actual number of vehicles, 4.03 million, the highest in ten years. - Mike Davis

While hybrids in general might be hot, some are not.

The Insight is just too impractical. I say it's time to can it and let the civic hybrid and the accord hybrid do their thing.
And I'm not surprised that the other cars on that list aren't selling well. They've got some serious issues with the pricing on the SSR and Crossfire as dealers are still trying to steal money from people for those cars. The eclipses haven't been selling well for a while. Olds is defunct, the saab isn't all that competitive, and the Ascender is just a rebadged GM.
