Ford: 180,000 vehicles recalled...
From LLN...
Ford has announced two separate recalls impacting 180,000 vehicles. The largest recall involves 124,000 2007-2008 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. The recall is due to a faulty spring system in the door handle that could fail. While no accidents or injuries have been reported due to the problem, the defect could cause the doors to open in a side impact.
The second recall involves 57,000 2006-2007 E-series vans and Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators equipped with a 5.4L V8. According to Ford, the vehicles' fuel rail crossover hose could crack, leading to a fuel leak and possibly fire. Despite the severity of the recall, no accidents or injuries have been reported.
The recalls will begin later this month and continue into March.
