I see a couple of similarities, but meh. A lot of people are guilty of saying one car looks like another in some way. I know people here on AZ went ballistic over LEDs, clinging onto the notion that every manufacturer that used LEDs on their front ends was "copying Audi".

I'm sure that Indy concept was hot shit for its time. So is the LaFerrari. Even then I'm sure it will be polarizing to some.

@ saying LaFerrari is a "copy" of the '86 Corvette Indy Concept.

People need their heads examined.

I'm confident we will have at least one LaFerrari in Chicago... during the past supercar launches there have always been at least one in this area... that should indicate the same for this launch.

Most likely they will bring it out to the annual Ferrari Festival in August.

I can't wait til they have this beast on Top Gear. Hopefully sometime in the next year or so. Assuming someone is willing to give up some seat time in their car...

Imagine a Top Gear showdown with the LaFerrari vs P1.

Didn't it take them a while to get an Enzo on the track? Either way, that's an episode to look forward to.

JFC where the fuck have I been? I just saw this today... Looks absolutely mind blowing! Except for the wheels, did they have a lot of 360 Modena wheels left in the factory or something?

Funny though it wasn't long before cheaper cars were beating the ENZO. Heck a standard GTR will demolish most of the supercars from Europe.

I have a hunch that Nissan are sand bagging that engine in that GTR. It won't be long before we see the real power from the GTR.

^^ But in the end it may be fast, but it's still an ugly, soul-less GTR.

It's like marrying the ugly girl with the doctorate.

it's the same old argument, you can put a crate motor in a soapbox and it will be faster than anything else out there.... but, it will look like shit.

Don't be so harsh... the GT-R costs a lot less money and the purpose of it is to produce just the results and performance. In exchange for the cheaper price you don't get the craftsmanship and automotive art aspect of the "real" supercars that cost a ton of money. You get what you pay for, but if your budget is relatively low or you just want to go fast, cars like the GT-R and Corvette are what you want.

...but at least the Corvette looks beautiful.

With the GTR you only get ugly.

this may be obvious but, I'd rather have a ZR1 ('09s are going in the 70's) than a GTR.

Ok the Corvette looks sexier but with the GT-R you get AWD and rear seats, so it's more useful as a daily driver. And the GT-R looks kind of cool in a butchy way, I think most people can agree on that.

fuq yeah....i think GTR give you more bang for your buck...

get a 2009 GTR for 50K...send it to AMS alpha for their alpha8 or send it to switzer for their p800 and you have a 650-700whp AWD monster for 70-75K....and you get some warranty from them....

0-60 in around 3 seconds or less...

I love the GTR, I would never kick one out of bed.

if I was in that $$$ market though, I would most likely get something else.

@ daily driver. You lost me there.

Kind of cool in a butchy way

Is that how people are trying to sell the ugly GTR design now?
That's a stretch, no?

Bottom line: The GTR is fast, no doubt....but it's the fastest ugly, or ugliest fast around.

I doubt you could get one for that price. I've never looked, but i have a friend looking for a used GTR and according to him they are all overpriced and just holding their resale value really well.

Me too. But top gear never got their hands on the enzo from ferrari. They found an owner to lend it to them. Something tells me they will need to do the same with this car. So hopefully someone lends it out to them soon! But it will probably be a while.

I think Mclaren will hand the keys over to them especially since they conduct some tests on that track.

Your in your late model modded GTR and a new Ferrari or Lambo pulls up besides you at the lights. And it feels like a drag time.

Guess which one is worried?

That's feeling that you can dominate these supercars is priceless. And the feeling you get when your beaten in your over priced car is not so good.

...but when you get out of the car, you realize it's ugly.....
As you drive by, nobody really turns their heads to look....because it's ugly...

However when you are driving "rolling art" or "sex on wheels", with a symphony sitting right behind your head as you drive......well....

Not to mention a more mature person could care less when the kid at the stop light might want to drag race.

Beauty, Soul, Sex Appeal, Legacy, & Performance, trump fast ugly.

lots of photos inside

Ferrari F150/LaFerrari Concepts.

We saw a ton of LaFerrari concepts up until the official unveiling of the Ferrari Enzo successor. Some of them were attractive, and some were ugly as sin. However, all of these concepts were pipe dreams until that faithful day at the Geneva Motor Show. But to get to the beautiful design that makes up the LaFerrari, Ferrari created many concepts, all of which have unseen.

Thankfully, Ferrari has opened up ‘Ferrari Supercar – Technology. Design.Myth.’, an exhibition dedicated to the development of the LaFerrari. Below are some amazing photos taken by designboom during their visit to the brand new exhibit in Maranello.
