^It's not even a fair comparison. LF makes the Aventador look like the ugly stepchild.

I see influence from the P4/5.

Anyone notice the similar side profile with the 458? I love the side of the LF, the massive intake looks like a breaking wave.

Also interesting that the front grill is an active front diffuser pushing air over the roof.

No you have fabulous taste, just like moi:wink: I'm not a fan of the angulated, "look at me" style of Lambo at the moment and the Gallardo is a played out 8 year-old design.

Anyhoo, this just gives me more incentive to move to the Italia. Excited to get a more raw, sports car experience. This Ferrari lifestyle is not easy on the wallet

+1. Waitlist is long and established clients have first dibs. Ferrari has an 18 month right of first refusal to control the secondary market but I imagine 99% of the 499 will be museum piece/garage queens.

Much easier to obtain Macca or 918. How long did it take Macca to sell all examples of the F1, few years?

In Italy were sold 25 LaFerrari (40 requests).
Before Geneva all the clients had payed for this car.
Most of them have already at least 2 Ferrari in their garage... (Montezemolo speech).

I can't see anyone that appreciates what these cars represent and what they can do NOT ALSO appreciating the Aventador. I guess it's the unpopular opinion...

So... "The Ferrari LaFerrari" would translate to "The Ferrari The Ferrari." It's kinda like "The Los Angeles Angels" = "The The Angels Angels."

I do like both this and the Aventador. Between the 2 I would pick the LeHeaterarri, even with what I consider a goofy name, just 'cus it's a freakin' Ferrari.

Also, this whole discussion reminded me of this:

Ferrari The Ferrari. FLF would be easier on the ears.

One issue I have is LaFerrari implies the F70 is "THE" definitive/ultimate Ferrari. What happens when the next F-super car comes along? LaLaFerrari?

LF would have been nice but Lexus already has the LF-LC.

Whatevs, any owner fortunate enough to have one of these in his/her stable prolly doesn't give a f-ck about the name

458 looked soooo sexy when it first came out....then the F12 ruined it for me coz I didnt enjoy looking at the 458 as much....and now the LaSexy comes out showing them nice curves....I dont think I will be ever able to fap to 458 or F12....

OK TMI LOL. Totally agree, but even with my "lowly" Cali, having the opportunity to drive one of these, listen to the exhuast siren, and smell the Italian leather all contribute to the "experience" of being a small part of Ferrari's legacy. I love Porsche and had a great 4 years with my C2S, but few things in life stir the soul like Ferrari.

It's not so.
Consider that "LAFerrari" is the NAME of this car.
Than you have NOT to translate it: "the LaFerrari" is the right translation.
"I have bought a LaFerrari... and so on"))...

About the meaning. In english you have a similar translation like we in italian:
"a car" (anyone) vs "THE car" (THAT car, and only that). "Una macchina" vs "LA macchina".
Il, la, lo, le in italian is the article for smth specifical, determinated: like in english: a film vs THE film of the century.

^I see your point about redundancy but Enzo, Italia, F12 are all names too and we refer to them as Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari Italia, Ferrari F12 so why not Ferrari LaFerrari? Unless we are putting LaFerrari in a unique, standalone nomenclature as "THE Ferrari". Still goes back to my point about what to call the next, superior hypercar.

Yeah, I get it too... just like the baseball team "Los Angeles Angels," Los Angeles is the city name and does not get translated... BUT if you take a step back and say, "OK, what am I really saying here?" and break it down, then it seems kind of silly and redundant. I still love the car!

I still love the Aventador - I just think the LF (what a great thing to call it!) blows it away, in every single area. :P

the LF is the best car ever made, in my book. the CGT has finally been dethroned.

btw regarding Lamborghini, we should really be comparing LF to that new $4mil car they introduced..............

Aventador's Ferrari equivalent is the F12.
