Going solely on recent Chrysler interiors, is anyone really surprised?

We laughed at the interior of the Journey for a solid 5 minutes in Detroit.

that interior isnt getting me excited either, but I love the exterior and I'm hoping to love whats under the hood.

I dunno man I really want the challenger. I guess if it falls flat I always have a G8 gt with manual to hope for, or a 1 series.

I have wedding to try and pay for first, and there is this little strike thing happening but at least I'm getting some work.

Are you going to bring Plymouth back from the dead to start the Cuda thread too?

Since when do we only post "official" renderings

...and posting the Cuda in this thread is about as relevant as posting the Accord Coupe in the Accord thread....6 months too late.

Leaked exterior production model pics

The latest images show a production car very similar to the concept. However, the photos also confirm the addition of a b-pillar to the Challenger's structure. Other less noticeable changes include taillights that have been divided into sections, a simplified grille, larger side mirrors, and more typical door handles.

^^Looks great IMO. Retro without looking dated and it looks very muscle car-y. Love that low stock stance too....

Exterior looks great. I haven't seen the production curb weight, but this thing looks heavy. I am guessing the SRT8 weighs near 4000 lbs. That's a turnoff to me, as well as the interior and price.

Post Dodge working on a ROUSHcharged Challenger?

From Leftlanenews...

Back in May of 2007, Roush Performance Products announced that it would be breaking off exclusive ties with Ford. Since then, the tuning company must have been hard at work. Yesterday spy photographers spotted a ROUSHcharged Chevrolet Silverado out testing and today two production Dodge Challengers were spotted in the Roush parking lot.

While neither Dodge nor Roush has announced a tuning package for the Challenger, it seems a little strange that two high-performance muscle cars would just be sitting in the Roush parking lot — just days before their official unveiling, no less — for no reason.

Still, nothing is official, be we suspect a ROUSHcharged Dodge Challenger could be in the cards. Dodge is already planning one high-performance Challenger variant in the form of the Super Stock dragster.

If nothing else, the latest photo at least gives us another glimpse at the production Challenger before its Chicago debut.

Didn't Chrysler just announce a few weeks ago that they were going to do a complete redesign of Sebring and Avenger's interiors?

I guess they had to pawn off the old interior onto something. Luckily the Challenger was passing by and got slapped with that.

I don't expect anything from them, that's why I'll never be one of their customers.

Same goes for Ford.

It's passable, considering what the car is...it's not a luxury car, afterall. The steering wheel can be replaced. Is that supposed to be CF trim around the stereo? If so, that needs to go, too.

The interior looks like it could be from a pickup truck... it's that steering wheel that does it.

I'll reserve some judgment until I see it in person; but it's god awful vanilla in the pics.

They're both pretty pathetic looking from the inside...yuck. I can understand using cheap interior materials to save cost, but atleast design/arange them a little better....that whole thing is one big awkward mess. Defend it all you like....

Its a very simple interior that reminds me of my beloved 89 prelude. Its simple, minimalistic, and functional. Its not a a sporty interior likethe 3rd and 5th gen lude, but it is more muscular. And this is a muscle car. Could it better, yes. But its terrible either. I'll reserve final judgement for the test drive.
