D3 Group: Custom ATS (based on Cadillac ATS) news

Press release...

Signal Hill CA, November 12, 2012, The D3 Group, world’s only full line Cadillac Tuning Program, has just released its newest product line for the all-new Cadillac ATS. The designers at D3 went to the drawing board to design a body kit that will enhance the look of the vehicle without losing the elegance and distinguished Cadillac look. The D3 engineers have developed a few performance parts that will increase HP and engine efficiency and suspension parts to increase drivability.

The D3 ATS Body Kit was designed with the upmost attention to detail of the lines on the vehicle. Keeping the look of the ATS in the forefront of the design, the D3 designers took the lines of the vehicle and made them have a sportier look. The kit includes the D3 Front Bumper, D3 Side Skirts with optional D3 Air Foils, D3 Rear Roof Spoiler and the D3 Rear Deck Lid Spoiler. All these parts can be sold together or separately and are ready to custom paint to the customer’s liking. The body kit uses OEM mounting points and hardware to ensure a OEM quality fit.

The engineers at D3 went straight to the engine compartment and first came up with a new air intake system to increase HP and increase the efficiency of the motor. The D3 Air Intake System replaces the OEM air intake and uses the same mounting points and hardware. This modification is 100% bolt and requires standard hand tools to install. Next D3 addressed the suspension of the ATS. The D3 Street and Competition Lowering Springs will lower the vehicle, as well as, increase the handling to ensure a quality ride and reduce body roll. The springs will work with the OEM suspension and will keep the technology that Cadillac has developed intact. D3 has meticulously designed their lowering springs to maintain the feel of a Cadillac, but improve the handling to increase its turning capabilities. For a more aggressive suspension solution D3 has developed a coilover system for the ATS. The D3 Coilover System will fit the ATS without having to fabricate or change any install points or hardware, providing a OEM quality fit and performance. The coilover system is an adjustable system that can be lowered and have any spring rate that the driver desires. This set up lets the driver choose how the coilover system will work according to each driving situation, whether on the track or just on the street. The adjustability gives the option to have set the vehicle up in just a matter of minutes with the provided tools, to make adjustments just about anywhere.

The D3 Group is still designing and engineering additional performance parts for the ATS and all their parts are tried and tested under extreme track conditions. These tests will ensure the reliability and performance under any condition the driver puts the vehicle in. The D3 Group will be releasing additional parts at the beginning of 2013, so keep your eye peeled for the launch of the D3 ATS line.

Too low for me, but otherwise, it looks good. I saw an ATS at the Auto Show the other day, and it looked good in person...much better than in pictures.

....on every point here. The drop is just too low for my taste. But the ATS is a fine looking car in person....way more so than in pics.

The ATS is one of the best, if not the best looking car in its class even without mods. GM did a great job on the design of the thing and from what reviews have been saying, it's pretty serious competition for the 3-series, as well. I test drove a 3.6 when they came out and it's definitely a sweet ride.

yeah that thing looks fresh drop is a little much in the rear but nothing coilovers couldn't fix. the rear fenders are wayyyy lower than the front which gives it that look but I am sure it is an even drop..
