Dear Sir, My name is Mike xxxxxxx and I'm the xxxxxxx of Broadcast Communications for General Motors. I've noticed that you have one of GM's embargoed photographs of the 2005 Corvette on your website. Since this image is embargoed until January 10, 2005, I am asking that you remove the image from your site until the embargo is lifted. While I don't expect you to tell me who provided you with the image, I am wondering if you would tell me if you received the image before Noon on Tuesday, November 9. If there is any confusion regarding usage of GM's embargoed images or if you would like to discuss the situation with me, I can be reached through email, or by phone at 313-665-xxxx. Thank you for your help with this matter. I thought this was only done by Toyota, now GM is doing this too, why I keep my digital camera always

zoinks. Not bad for a car that still uses leafsprings and pushrods. I bet those rear tires cost $3k alone. What are those, 335 width?
I'm sure it will be fun to drive, and no doubt the best-performing vehicle under $100k, but I just can't ever see myself in one. Not unless I start wearing Hawaiin shirts with the top 4 buttons undone and doing the 'wink-click' move every time I greet someone. |
Why the hell does that car use leaf springs anyways?
|
Photochop?
I could swear I recall hearing Bob Lutz promise 500HP and 500lb-ft. |
Does looked photoshopped, but nice none the less.
|
Still doesn't do it for me. I just can't get excited about the Corvette the way I get excited about a Viper or even a Lotus.

 me likey.

On the corvette its not like a truck where you have a set of them running in parallel of the car they are a single plastic composite spring that runs parallel of the of the axle and is lighter and more reliable then many other setups.
So while it is carryover technology it is not a solid rear axle with dual leaf springs like you would find on a truck or hot rods of days past. |
I wouldn't mind having it as my 3rd car...
|
I like it.

But the whole point of a photochop is to make it look real. I call complete :bs: on the pic. I say there's no way the Z06 will have that air inlet in the front. Corvette guys won't go for that type of thing. As for the rest of the pic, it looks just like a C6 which is what the Z06 will look like anyway. |

Looks too much like the viper. Hopefully they got rid of the rear leafsprings
