Curious to see how these look in person. I hated the new Mustang till I got to see one at a local car show.

I like it

The tail lights look very derivative though. Lip spoiler looks good, but the other spoiler looks like it would be found on an Impala as well. Still not a fan of the interior but it's a big improvement.

That's kind of the state of Chevy right now. They broadcast these commercials where people are convinced they're in Mercedes. First of all, those people have never been in Mercedes automobiles, but secondly, in a year and a half the whole interior is just hot garbage. My old man's 2014 Impala looks great because he never drives it, but that Chevy leather is going to fall apart with use.

The Navi screen looks like it is tilted downwards... I think it will be very annoying ... at least to me...

and i am sure SSFTSX will have something to say about those AC vents location.

Yea and the leather in my TL has been great....

At the end of the day it's just that... A Chevrolet. If someone wanted a luxury interior they will have to step up and pay for it.

I'm excited to see exactly how much of a weight difference between the out going v8 manual and the new one is.

Can't say anything about material quality since I haven't sat in one yet but it looks a lot better than the Ecoboost Mustang's I drove a while back.

This photo is bullshit. It's been post-processed to death. The real interior looks like cheap GM interiors

Leave it to Meathead to post horseshit.

There are some aesthetics that are better, no doubt. However, the quality of the materials is definitely inferior in places by comparison. I'm not defending the Mustang as much as disappointed that GM, yet again, found a way to screw up something that should not be so complicated.

I like the subtle changes, I've always been mixed on the look of the newer ones, I'd never own one as an only car but I'm curious to test drive the 2016, mostly to see how improved it is over the 2015 I drove for the last week as a rental. That thing floated on the highway so bad, curious how the new aero is. I'm into older GMs mostly but I do like this and the new Mustang too.

Oh yeah since people were mentioning GM leather, the leather in my 95 looks like new, probably nicer than my 06 TL, but the hard plastics are a different story...

The rental one was probably the base one. The performance-oriented Camaro trims were very capable.

I don't really like the current Camaro, but the exterior tweaks really do something for me. I like it. The interior looks significantly better than the current one. Unfortunately, it still has horrible rear visibility.

Post 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS Accent Concepts

Press release...

Red, Black Accent cars showcase new accessories, preview production packages

DETROIT – Chevrolet introduced two customized 2016 Camaro SS concepts that illustrate the possibilities enabled by the new portfolio of Gen Six Camaro accessories and performance parts.

Dubbed Red Accent and Black Accent for their respective design themes, each uses components Chevrolet will offer during the first model year of the new Camaro.

“These are great-looking examples of what customers can do to personalize their new Gen Six Camaro,” said Roger McCormack, director, Accessories & Performance Parts Marketing. “This will be the largest-ever portfolio of Camaro accessories and performance parts. The possibilities are limited only by imagination.”

The new portfolio of Camaro accessories and performance parts includes:

Three aluminum wheel designs, in multiple finishes
Grille kits with six body-color inserts for LT and SS models; inserts are also available in chrome-appearance or primed versions for custom painting
A blade-style rear spoiler and ground effects kit, each offered in 10 colors
Four exterior graphics packages, offered in multiple colors, including,” rally stripe,” front-fender “hash mark,” racing stripe designs and a body-side “spear” graphic
Interior trim kits, including knee pads and door accent trim, offered in multiple colors
Performance exhaust kits for SS and V-6-equipped LT models (not compatible with the dual-mode exhaust system)
Suspension lowering kits for SS and LT models (not compatible with SS models equipped with available Magnetic Ride Control)
Brembo® performance front brake packages for SS and LT models
Performance air intake kit for the SS
Engine covers for SS and V-6-equipped LT models.
Customers can view many of the accessories on the new Camaro using the online Camaro Visualizer.

“All of the exterior accessories enhance the Camaro’s already strong design, as they were developed in the Chevrolet Performance Studio alongside the production model itself,” said Adam Barry, senior creative designer, Chevrolet Camaro. “That means customers can personalize their new Gen Six Camaro with parts that are styled, engineered and aero-tested by the same team that designed the car.”

Camaro SS Red Accent Package concept

The adage less is more applies to this tasteful-yet-dynamic Camaro SS convertible. Its Switchblade Silver Metallic exterior is accented with red accessory trim and complemented by an Adrenaline Red leather-trimmed interior.

The exterior accessories include a lower grille with red inserts, red “hash mark” fender graphics, black bowtie emblems and 20-inch 5-Spoke Gloss Black wheels with Red Outline Stripe. Under the hood is a red-accented engine cover.

The cabin features an interior illumination kit with red aluminum door inserts, knee pads in red, sport pedal covers, and premium SS-logo carpeted floor mats and center console cover.

In addition to the Red Accent appearance enhancements, Chevrolet included several integrated performance kits including lowered suspension, air intake and Brembo front brakes with six-piston calipers.

Camaro SS Black Accent Package concept

The Red Hot Camaro SS coupe with an added Black Accent package creates a decidedly more “tuner” aesthetic. The aggressive design uses black ground effects, darkened taillamps, satin black rally stripes, black bowtie emblems and black 20-inch 5 Split Spoke Low Gloss Black Wheels. There’s also a concept black fuel door cover.

The performance suspension lowering kit and Brembo front brake package – with red calipers – completes the street-smart stance of the Camaro. Under the hood is the new performance air intake and a red accented engine cover.

The Jet Black leather-trimmed interior is personalized with black interior trim and knee pads, SS-logo premium carpeted floor mats, a suede console lid with the Chevrolet Performance logo and red stitching, and sport pedal covers.

The Red Accent and Black Accent Camaro SS concepts will be displayed at the 2015 SEMA Show, in Las Vegas, along with more than 20 Chevrolet vehicles with production and concept accessories and performance parts.

Post Camaro Krypton concept

Press release...

Krypton is one of the six nobles gases and is used to help illuminate fluorescent lights. When combined with other gases, it can create a greenish-yellow luminous lighting effect similar to neon.

That luminescent quality was the inspiration behind the Camaro Krypton concept’s exterior color. The fluorescent green primary color is officially called Krypton Green and is a custom hue developed exclusively for this Gen Six SEMA concept.

Camaro Krypton features an electroluminescent paint technology. With the flip of a switch, the dynamic design comes alive with illuminated bowties on the body sides.

The concept also features the available RS package, which includes 20-inch wheels, high-intensity discharge headlamps custom-trimmed in green, darkened taillamps, unique upper and lower grilles and a rear spoiler. Additionally, this custom Camaro strikes a sportier stance with the new Chevrolet Performance lowering kit and sounds strong with the available dual-mode exhaust – with custom-painted exhaust tips.

Post Camaro Black concept

Press release...

This blacked-out Camaro SS concept makes a simple-yet-powerful styling statement – one increasingly popular with performance enthusiasts.

“It is a very popular thing customers do with the fifth-generation Camaro and we wanted to be the first to show how it looks with the new Gen Six,” said Adam Barry, senior creative designer, Chevrolet Camaro. “I’ll tell you – it looks pretty sinister.”

Starting with the production Mosaic Black Metallic exterior color, the Camaro features several custom exterior treatments, including Mosaic Black Metallic hood vents, black-outlined SS badges, black-tinted windows, special Black Edition logos on the fenders, steering wheel and console cover – and black 20-inch aluminum wheels.

The additional exterior and interior features come from the new Camaro portfolio from Chevrolet Accessories, including:

Ground effects kit
Darkened taillamps
Rear blade spoiler
Black bowtie emblems
Black interior Spectrum door trim lighting
Chevrolet Performance-logo floor mats with light grey edging
Black suede knee pads.
The Camaro Black concept backs up its sinister look with new performance parts, including exhaust and air intake kits, a brake upgrade kit and the new suspension- lowering kit.

Camaro Chevrolet Performance concept

Press release...

The Camaro has long been associated with performance and this concept uses new components, including a performance air intake, exhaust system and a red engine cover, as well as a new suspension-lowering kit and a Brembo® front brake upgrade kit with six-piston calipers.

On the outside, the Summit White exterior color is accented with “Chevrolet Performance” and stripe graphics, a blacked-out panel between the taillamps, concept 20-inch accessory wheels and the following Chevrolet accessories:

Darkened taillamps
Blade-style rear spoiler
Front fascia extension
SS grille with red insert
Black front and rear bowtie emblems.
Inside, the Camaro concept is trimmed in Jet Black leather and accented with Chevrolet Accessories components, including Red Hot door accent trim, Chevrolet Performance-logo console armrest cover and floor mats, pedal covers and Jet Black suede knee pads. It also features knee pads with black suede.

Post Camaro Hyper concept

Press release...

The Camaro Hyper concept strikes a bold and sophisticated pose with its Hyper Blue Metallic exterior contrasting with a new Ceramic White interior. It’s a combination customers can order with the 2016 Camaro, but this customized version adds heritage-inspired cues, including Chevrolet Accessories white rally stripes and “Camaro” fender badges. It also wears the rear spoiler from the RS package and Chevrolet Accessories 20-inch polished forged aluminum wheels.

The additional exterior and interior features are available from Chevrolet Accessories and Chevrolet Performance. They include:

Front fascia extension painted body color
LT upper and lower grilles with Silver Ice Metallic inserts
Blue engine cover
Black illuminated front bowtie emblem
Ceramic White interior knee pads
Black interior Spectrum door trim lighting
Camaro-logo embroidered armrest cover
Camaro-badge floor mats
Suspension lowering kit
Performance exhaust.

I think it's a Camaro!

But I'm not sure what model, I just guessed ZL1. Any insight on what this is? I messed up and recorded with the phone up-right again 😬

I see a pattern here between the Mustang and camaro. Keep making the headlights smaller and call it the new model year after year.
