They couldn't sell enough cars for net revenue to cover costs, because they have to pay out billions in legacy costs to retired workers and to cover the salaries of current employees. Korean/Japanese automakers don't have that problem.

Sure they designed some worthless models along the way, but what automaker hasn't? And, that is hardly the reason they are going under.

For Pontiac, Do I need to mention to you guys, the AZTEC? Probably the worst automobile production design ever! I dont know what American designers were thinking.

Once again, several reason as to why Pontiac failed was, use of cheap materials, poor reliability, and FUGLY designs.

You have got to be one of the dumbest, most ignorant retards on this board. I REALLY feel sorry for any poor schlub that comes under your dumbass for an audit. I hope they are smart enough to double check and catch all the mistakes you probably make towards their finances.

LOL, what an uneducated 30 years old loser, act your age.

If you want to say something, come back with statements that has some value and weight to it, rather than meaningless insults. This is why I dont give you any respect, I have yet to see any post from you that sounded like from educated 30 years old man. It always has been dumb rants or complains...lol

Why don't you explain to me the reason of failure of Pontiac and Chrysler? And the struggles of GM?

Come on 30 years old man, why dont you act your age for once and give me your perspective on this issue with supporting facts..

Jesus, you're a persistent little bugger. Need I mention the Excel? Pony? The Aztek may be the worst vehicle design ever, but the Excel is probably one of the worst cars ever. Right... now you're thinking "so what, the Excel is a car from years ago...." exactly.

Your only purpose is to bash any car that possibly competes with any car in the Hyundai lineup. This is why you're bashing the Camaro. I bet if this were 20 years ago you'd be arguing how the Excel is such a better car than a Yugo. Sadly you'll never realize that you only make Hyundai look bad. Imagine if Hitler were still alive and he was preaching about how great BMWs were... people would be scared to like them.

Ever heard of chaebol? Only recently have the domestic companies asked for loans.... meanwhile Hyundai gets money pumped into their bank accounts. Like everyone is saying.... if you don't want your tax money going to domestic companies, MOVE TO KOREA... or go away at the very least.

Back on topic, the new Camaro is simply astonishing. Period. I would buy one tomorrow if I had the means (and if it came with a nav option). C'mon GM, WTF???

Well, for one I am an educated 30 year old man. I mean hell, if you want to try and criticize that aspect you should at least make sure you know the grammar and language you are trying to speak. And here you are wonderfully displaying your severe lack of education and repeating the incorrect phrase no less than three times.

And of course that doesn't include many of the other errors in your statement.

PS: Pontiac is/was part of GM genius.

Bingo. That, combined with several other factors (tightening of credit for them and consumers, fears over the economy and the cars themselves) attributed this happening right now. If it didn't happen now, it would have happened in short order anyways. Shit, USA Today reported on this almost four years ago. Same deal for the Washington Post.

In 2006, GM paid $1500 per car in medical and insurance for it's active and retired workforce. Toyota? $186. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that's a problem. Iacocca saw this in the early 90s.

If GM and Chrysler are to survive, they've got to be able to pull the plug somehow.

So.. yesterday after work, I went to Glendale Chevy to check out the new Camaro in person for the first time.

This car... is the best. Enough said.

Oh yeah, according to the manager, on June 2nd at the Glendale Chevy, the head designer who designed this beautiful machine will be there for some type of promotional event.

Also, throughout the last week of this month, the actual Bumblebee Camaro will be stationed at the Glendale Chevy for public.

Chevrolet readying limited edition Bumblebee Camaro

The Chevrolet Camaro may have been the star of the first Transformers movie, but the reinvented pony car was still two-years away from production when the movie hit the big screen. Luckily for Chevrolet, the follow-up to the first movie – “Revenge of the Fallen” – took two years to make, meaning the car will actually be in dealerships at the same time it’s on the silver screen this go around. To commemorate that almost simultaneous launch, Chevrolet is reportedly readying a version of the Bumblebee movie car for the streets.

According to Camaro5, Chevrolet has given the green light to a limited edition Bumblebee Camaro. Staying true to the movie car, the limited edition Camaro will feature a Rally Yellow paint job complete with black stripes. Other unique touches will include Transformer badging on the wheel center caps and sill plates, as well as an embroidered center console lid.

The Bumblebee package will be available on LT and SS models.

Chevrolet dealers will begin taking orders for the limited edition model on June 1st, with production set to kick off on June 24th – the same day the film hits theaters nationwide. No word on a production run or pricing, but we expect to hear more on the subject in the coming days.

What are sill plates? Do they mean like side sills like where it says Acura on the floor where youo pend the door? I was hoping for an Autobot emblem on the back. Hopefully they don't put "Bumblebee" on the exterior. I think the paint job and center caps speak for themselves.

We stopped at a Chevy dealer on the way back from lunch today, and I have to admit, in person, the new Camaro looks pretty good. I can honestly say the pictures don't do it justice. We didn't sit inside of it (and wisely ducked out before having to deal with sales people ), but the interior looked decent...not as plasticky as the pictures make it look. Yes, there's plastic, but it doesn't look too terribly bad; certainly no worse than the Mustang or Challenger.

Compared to the Challenger interior, the Camaro interior is like a Rolls Royce.

Ford should do a Barricade version of the Mustang. Should have "To Punish and Enslave" on the side.

They filmed a good chunk at Edwards, where my friend was flying F-22s at the time. He got to absolutely rag on Barricade, all the pilots did.
