I think the new MKS is the first step towards actually revamping that brand.

I think it looks great. But I agree with you ... If they don't get moving they're toast.

And honestly, I don't see Buick lasting much longer in the US ... It's a redundant brand.

Buick has it's market in the US. Chevrolet is the economy sub-brand for GM, Buick is the entry-luxury sub-brand, and Cadillac is the luxury sub-brand for GM. Each has it's own market.

Just like the current Acura brand is sitting smack in the middle in between the economy brands and the true-luxury brands.

Yup.

Buick ranges from premium economy to low-end luxury and is selling very strongly in the US. It's not going anywhere.

Cadillac is the "true" luxury brand of GM and is gradually expanding its portfolio as noted above. Right now, it's the "CTS and SRX" brand, but the ATS will fill in at the "low" end and the XTS in the upper-mid range. That leaves the flagship, which is coming as noted above.

Cadillac has already left Lincoln in the dust. Lincoln is now less relevant than Acura.

Buick makes no sense though. The boomers are not Buick people and the ATS is a better deal than the Regal. I just don't understand it.

Lincoln is irrelevant but so was Caddy when this thread started
