This intrigues me. It's an old rumor, but it's still being talked about. One can't help but wonder if there will be an CL fighter when Cadillac finally introduces it's flagship S-Class fighting sedan. Or would it be coupe based off the STS, and be more along the lines of a 6-Series competitior? Either way, it's pretty obvious that Caddy's working on a V-12. Shoehorning that in the STS-V... now that's a V-Series.

Can't wait for this Caddy to come out, I test drove the current CTS the other day back to back with the TL and found it lacking in so many ways. The STS on the other hand, is very nice inside and out, too bad its way out of my price range.

Have you driven a 300C? I too test drove a CTS and was hugely put off by the interior. I acually think a Honda Accord has a better interior than the Caddy. The 300C on the other hand has a tolerable interior, performs well, and is reasonably refined.

Caddy needs to work on interior quality, materials, and overall refinement. Then they will truely be able to compete as equals with the Germans. Even in the V series, the steering is a bit overboosted and doesn't convey enough of what the car is doing. The shifter in the CTSV is notchy and the brakes a bit touchy. Cadillac should reverse engineer an M5 and see how they tune their suspension and brakes IMHO.

We can now see the grill in much greater detail. Overall it looks nice even with the camo on. Good job.

Only problem is that their pricing has been out of line with Acura and Infiniti...The CTS has not been a good value for money.

People say that about the TL and 3-Series too and then the fact the BMW is a RWD comes up and everyone starts yelling.

I don't think the 255hp CTS is a bad value necessarily ... The TL is a really good value in the segment but it's hard to compare them all just on price.

The ES350 and the G35 are comparable but I wonder how many people cross shop them?

That's a big improvement in the interior. This car looks like it has potential to be a true competitor if GM packages it right, makes the right choices in marketing, and fits it with the right engines.

as bad as that steering wheel is, it's also a big improvement over the current one.

The center stack looks very japanese.

OMG. I heard the rumors about the CTS's interior, but this is unbelievable. I think the center stack is acutall NICER than the G's. Damn it, I wanted this (the decision about my next car purchase) to be an easy one, but the CTS will definitely be worth waiting for. The sticthed leather is a jaw dropper, but I heard it might be coming. The Enclave Concept has stiched leather, and it's supposed to be making it to production! So, conventional wisdom would dictate that Caddy would have it also... wow... oh, ditto on the wheel.

The CTS with the 2.8 V6 ( I assume with DI by MY08) similarly equiped has to be at least 2-3K less than a 328 to make it worth while.

This one'll be a LOT prettier. I just hope they don't p[rice it like it has no competition, (the V as well as other trim levels.) Compared to the TL, it's too prcisy currently.
