Caddy super-limo to take on Germans - - Source: Autocar
Cadillac also looks like it could be joining the crossover revolution. Sources told Autocar that company bosses ‘were looking at a crossover’ vehicle, which would sit alongside the big US-market SRX 4x4, due to be launched in Europe this year.

Ha! I knew they could not have been far behind. As I wrote in the Chicago Auto Show thread, we will see many more of these in the near future. Everyone must have one soon if they are to compete.

Cadillac Compact Crossover News
I am not sure if this report is related to this thread here but, MT mag. is reporting that Cadillac is preparing a compact crossover the size of the BMW X3 as part of its strategy to "attack" the European market. It wont be based on the Sigma platform, instead they will use the Theta platform from the Torrent and Equinox. Engines will probably be the ones used for the CTS (2.8 and 3.6). No third row seating.
We will see the above vehicle as a concept in next year's Detroit Auto Show.

Future Products — Cadillac - - Source: Autoweek
BRX: Cadillac wants to market a small, five-passenger crossover, but the timing is unclear. It could come as early as the 2009 model year, or it might be pushed back to 2011. GM plans to develop the BRX on a mix of vehicle architectures: the Theta architecture, used for the Chevrolet Equinox, but adapting the front clip from Epsilon 2 so it can fit a V-6.

Saab, Cadillac may get crossovers - - Source: Autoweek
DETROIT - General Motors wants to expand its crossover lineup to include a vehicle for Saab, executives say.
GM plans to offer three new crossovers this year: the GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook and Buick Enclave. All are on the new Lambda architecture.
"I'd like to see a nice Cadillac corssover, and I'd like to see a Saab crossover," said GM product czar Bob Lutz.
The Cadillac crossover apparently would be a replacement for the SRX, built on the Sigma architecture used by for the Cadillac CTS. The vehicle could go into production within three years.
Lutz, who spoke with Automotive News at the Detroit auto show, would not confirm whether a new Cadillac and a Saab crossover are a done deal. But he said, "Obviously, the fact that I mention it would lead you to believe that we're certainly thinking about it."
