Post 2014 Cadillac ATS Crimson Sport Edition

Press release...

Cadillac enhances the dynamic performance and design of the 2014 ATS sedan with a new, limited-edition Crimson Sport special edition. Produced only during the spring of 2014, the special edition sedan is characterized by its unique Crimson Red Metallic exterior paint and a collection of its sportiest performance attributes, including an available Track Package.

The Crimson Sport ATS can be had with four different interior environments: Morello Red with Jet Black accents, Caramel with Jet Black accents, Jet Black with Jet Black accents or Light Platinum with Jet Black accents. Other exterior enhancements include exclusive 18-inch Manoogian Dark Silver Premium Painted wheels; a ground effects package with color-matched front splitter, rocker moldings and rear diffuser; and an aero decklid spoiler.

Inside, upgrades include a heated steering wheel in microfiber suede, a microfiber suede shift lever and heated front seats.

Buyers can opt for the Crimson Sport Edition on either the 272-horsepower ATS 2.0T Performance Collection (with automatic transmission) or 321-horsepower 3.6L Premium Collection with rear- or all-wheel drive. Navigation, sunroof, the Driver Assist Package and Advanced Security Package are all optional. Rear-wheel-drive 3.6L models also offer a Track Package.

The award-winning Cadillac ATS sedan balances performance and refinement, wrapped in a progressive expression of Cadillac’s Art & Science design philosophy. Named 2013 North American Car of the Year, the ATS compact luxury sedan has drawn new customers to the brand and helped to continue the evolution and elevation of Cadillac.

The 2014 Cadillac ATS Crimson Sport Edition will be available in dealerships at the end of March. The limited-edition package carries an MSRP of $46,010 for the 2.0T Performance Collection and $51,010 for the 3.6L Premium Collection.

I really wish the third brake light was integrated into the rear windshield rather than the bumper (for both the coupe and sedan).

And that damn chrome/silver trim piece on the edge of where the bumper and trunk lid meet really bothers me. I hate it. It reminds me of the TL.

It wouldn't be a Caddy without some bling bling.

THANK YOU for offering a real manual transmission. I was shocked to see that. 2L+6MT is the way to go. More power and more of it available at lower RPM. They should have been able to squeeze more out of a 3.6L...I don't see the benefit of choosing it.

Automobile did a long term wrap up of their ATS and said the 2.0T is a poor substitute for the 3.6L engine. Rough and not sufficiently powerful. They liked the 3.6L a lot. Obviously, no MT is a problem with the V6.

They need to fix that 2.0T, pronto.

Wow I never noticed that. And the comparison you made on the previous page only exacerbates the problem. ugh

The ATS-V coupe though... nice!

That's because Cadillac has an ACTUAL car ready. The NSX? Vapor. Unless the gas is being emitted from someone's @$$, it's usually soundless.

Not bad. The rear is a little odd to me though, but it does look good. Wonder what the price is going to be.

I like the back on this a lot more than the CTS-V coupe. And the front looks super aggressive. Nice job Cadillac!

Yeah... the rear end needs to be more substantial, I'd like to see this in sedan form.
