Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport
Highs: Cheaper by the dozen, big space inside, the choice of the CHP.
Lows: Flaccid seats, a wandering chassis, a V-8 that thinks it's a six.
The Verdict: An institution for institutions.

Pontiac Bonneville GXP
Highs: Shapely, now that it's shorn of plastic; decent power; a button for every whim.
Lows: Lifeless steering, odd switchback behavior, needs another gear.
The Verdict: An expensive dose of so-so.

Chrysler 300C Hemi
Highs: One mother of a motor, refined ride and handling, baby-Bentley looks, plenty of space.
Lows: Small patches of cheapness, may be too stiff-legged for some, unproven quality and reliability.
The Verdict: The winner by default also has darn few faults.

That's interesting... why wouldn't they put the 300C up against the Mercury Marauder instead of the Ford Crown Vic Sport? It seems like those two are in the same class, not the Crown Vic.
Either way, more good press for the 300C! I wonder how effective they're being on taking sales away from import competitors. I don't think I see crown victorias or bonnevilles anymore on the road.

Though they're out of production, the 300C's GM and Ford counterparts ARE the 94-96 Impala SS and Merc Marauder. Seems like when the production of one stops, production of the other starts. 
Very unflattering comparo, nonetheless. You've got to be a MAJOR domestic fan to get into that one.
