They really did a great job on this car, both inside and out. I'm seriously considering buying it later this year (I'll be looking for a car by that time). Ofcourse, sitting in it will be the deciding factor. Other than that, the only deal breaker for me is faux wood. I don't like it in any car, from Acura, Buick, etc...

I'm really impressed with the pics and what it says they've done with it. There are a few minor things here and there that aren't my taste, but overall, it's a great looking car. If it pans out as good in person, it'll be another hit for GM that the vast majority of people fail to recognize.

I really like that sloping roofline. That was pulled off very well, but they just HAD to tack on that GM "badge of excellence"..... ugh. I still like the Invicta name better. It sounds more like an expensive timepiece rather than a sport. ![2 Cents](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/2cents.gif)

I agree with the "badge of excellence" bullshit! GM should drop those things immediately; it's the worse idea Lutz ever came up with. The "GM" brand shouldn't be built on ever car, IMHO. It should be the brand of that particular make; Buick's (and Chevy, and Caddy, etc) brand should stand on it's on. Slapping a little silver GM on the car doesn't give the consumer a warm and fuzzy fuckin' feeling when they see it.

The portholes are a very cool design aspect, IMO, and one that Buick can claim is all their own. They've even inadvertently started a very lame trend of putting those terrible stick-on portholes every piece of crap car out there... putting them on the hood makes more sense than on the fender, IMO. As far as the chrome, that little design trick really sets off the tail lamps. Something tells me that the same effect will work on the Lacrosse.

There's some good information on Buick's website. My main concern has been answered there; they're using real wood for the interior; "dark poplar wood appliques." The new Lacrosse also has an available panoramic sunroof, just like the ES. If I get one I'll definitely get the heads up display in it. They've also got some great pics...

Damn, it looks GREAT in silver. The interior looks awesome too, but I want to see what it looks like in all black, though the gray interior in the silver car looked great. My favorite part still has to be the ambient lighting/HUD combo with its matching colors, and the interior layout is elegant and unique without being too flashy or overdone. I'm just not a fan of wood on any car though.... I still wish Acura continued on with the bowling ball trim. Its underrated, it doesn't evoke the sense of senility in a car yet still has some class, better than aluminum trim....
And IMO this is one of the first Buicks that really pull off the portholes correctly. None of the current Buicks' looks are enhanced by the portholes. These portholes look more aggressive and are placed at a more aesthetically pleasing location.
My dad has always liked oldschool big body Buicks, Caddys and Lincolns.... my uncle used to have a big Cadillac convertible way back when. I wonder if I can push him away from his Camry?

Three Wheelin'
Wow
It looks like the Enclave wasn't a fluke. Now GM needs to market the
out of this thing like they did the Malibu.
Design-wise, the kick-up in the rear quarter panel is beautiful. Nice stance and decent wheel-well to tire ratio. And GM is finally putting wheels on its cars that don't scream "rental car!"
I can't believe I'm going to say this, but as an owner who had a TL and an MDX, now a TSX and MDX in his garage, I'd be proud to have an Enclave and a Lacrosse in there as well. That's saying a lot.
Not bad GM, not bad at all...

That rear seat DVD entertainment system's cool. Wonder what that'll cost...

I like the shape of the exhaust outlets. I've seen the shape used alot on concepts, but not on to many production vehicles.

This is a sad day for Acura. When I look at the TSX TL and RL, I just think of SOOO many things that I would do differently if I had the task of redesigning those cars. It's as if it was still a rough draft.
With the Buick, I don't get that at all. Buick now knows how to finish a car, the details work, it's just right.

(Sigh) I had every intention of buying the next gen M37. I know it's in the next class up, but with this car damn near loaded, I really wouldn't be losing alot content or comfort wise. I have a lead foot, and the RWD that the M would offer is the maing sticking point for me not getting this car. That said, I could save thousands of dollars getting this car, and all I'm grappling with how serious would I push the M anyway. The Lacrosse's European tuned, and the CXS (the car I would get) has the active damping system that has worked wonders on FWD GM cars for years; most notably the last gen FWD Caddy Seville. So I'm SERIOUSLY considering this car; The real world pics of both the interior and exterior are impressing the hell out of me.
#119
If I had some spare change to throw around (which I dont) I'd get this as my next car. Of course it wouldn't be a first year model, or even a second year model. It'd be just before the mid-cycle refresh, that way if they do fuck it up (which they will, it's too perfect right now for them to not do it), I won't be stuck with it.

Three Wheelin'
That being said, I'd have no problem leasing this vehicle for 3 years. If everything went satisfactory during the 3 years, then I'd think about buying the next model...
The more I look at this car the more I say "hats off" to GM...I also think with the expected MSRP not to exceed $35,000 for a fully loaded CSX (nav, 19's, rear DVD, 3.6L 280hp V6 w/6sp, etc.), why would someone plunk down $50,000+ for a 3.7L 300hp V6 w/5sp Acura RL?
