...at least in Europe.
All-action X3 Dressed For Success - - Source: Autoexpress
If BMW's X3 isn't sporty enough for you, this optional kit might help. The new aerodynamic package consists of body-coloured bumpers, side sills, wheelarch trims and a restyled rear valance. The cost is £1,250. Meanwhile, there's a new entry-level diesel X3. The 2.0d will be available from October in two trims, standard (£26,175) and SE (cost to be announced). A 3.0 model arrives next year.

Really? I thought it drove like a Boxster (for SUV standards).

It's about as fast as a CR-V. For that kinda cash I'd rather have an FX35.

The ultimate example of buying a car for the name vs the quality

It will but not by much. I am guessing the 60 run will go from 9.8 to 9.2.

Having an suv, or as bmw might say- an sav, in stick is like having a pickup in stick, no thanks. Even with the porsche suv, stick doesn't fit in my mind.

The RDX isn't even out yet and you make these claims? And given Acura's latest model hypes (i.e. RL, TSX, MDX) you have to be cautious of anything that they say anymore. Their only real competitive product is the TL....
MDX - looks like a big minivan - doesn't even offer low gear? How can you call it a SUV?
RL - overpriced, bland-styling, Infiniti and Lexus offerrings will eat it alive
TSX - bland-styling, 4-banger for 30K?

Regardless, since they've been climbing steadily for a few years now, I do think your statement is shit.

I laugh because I know my statements about the MDX, RL and TSX are true. If you own or have been desiring to get either the MDX, RL or the TSX, perhaps you should shop around. Don't be fooled by Honda. The only thing that is worth even considering in their lineup is the S2000.
Again, all of this is just IMO of course

Critique them for a poorly executed psuedo-luxury brand with an image that's been made murky by all the dust that the Lexus and Infiniti have collectively left behind. I'm signing paperwork on a ~55k car in a few days and despite owning an Acura, the RL didn't even make my shortlist.

6.0 to 60mph seems fairly quick and the technology inside is enough to really sway me ... I like Acura's Navi the best and the integration with XM is a really nice feature (along with bluetooth).
Just curious why you never considered it.
