BMW raises base price on some 2004 "3 Series" vehicles

I guess they think they are a steal as they are priced now. Here is the latest info:

Beginning in March 2003 the 3 Series will undergo a number of improvements. For example, all 3 Series Coupes and Convertibles will receive a facelift and the rain sensor will become standard. In addition, all 330 models will have a 6-speed manual transmission standard. These product enhancements require an increase in base price to some models. Below is a brief summary.

3 Series retail price changes:

2004 3 Series Coupes and Convertibles

325Ci Coupe base price $30,100, ($500 increase)
325Ci Convertible base price $37,300, ($600 increase)
330Ci Coupe base price $36,300, ($700 increase)
300Ci Convertible base price $43,600, ($700 increase)

No change in package prices

Xenon Adaptive headlights will be $800

2003 3 Series Sedans and Sports Wagons

No price increase on the 325i and 325xi Sedans
No price increase on the 325i and 325xi Sports Wagons
330i Sedan base price $34,800, ($200 increase)
330xi Sedan base price $36,550, ($200 increase)

Performance Package will be $3,900. (available only on the 330i Sedan.)

Ragtop is a $7200 option on the 325ci, $7300 on the 330ci. Weird.

the cute part is that the car WILL sell. You could hardly find a 330 any dealer lots.. you basicly have to order them.

and they already increased the price from the 2002 to 2003 models... i guess they do this every year?

I'm still in shock how expensive the M3 is

I just built a coupe......

Premium, Xenon, 19's, heated seats, HK sound

MSRP $53,720 (that's with a non metallic color).....if I wanted to do a special order color, add another $2k.

So, $55,720

Pricey little stinker

Nobody knows yet on the price/facelift (I don't think its getting one), rumors are that the 04 M3 will start production in April (others say Sept). Some people think BMW is going to put a V8 in the 04, I think that would be a long shot.

On the date they go into production, figure 2 months later (give or take) to arrive at the dealer.

Really? Which Autoshows, Detroit?.....If its a U.S. show, I doubt it was an 04 (most likely an 03).

If there was one there, I doubt people would be bringing up what features the 04 M3 will have every other day on Bimmer.org

So what is that... $700 for '04 and it was $500-$600 for '03.

A $1200-$1300 increase in two years. That's pretty lame...

I doubt we will see a V8 in an M3 before the next generation M3 comes out. The acceleration times are sufficient with this current engine to against the V8 S4 and others in the category. The M3 can get by with this engine for another 2 more years.

Ok, it has LED tail lights, that was a given. Like I said in an earlier post, the facelift is most likely not going to happen.

As far as engines/output go (whether it goes to a V8 or not) , don't rule anything out.

I agree though, a V8 will most likely not show itself in an M3 until 2006.

That price is a lil more than I would want to pay, but what dummy pays MSRP???? Considering it's the benchmark, the price is fair.
