I think the current e39 is too bland and boxy looking.

still a Masshole
I love the current M5 but the new one doesn't look that bad. I hope they don't have the shit on the bottom and I wish the taillights were different. I'd pimp it but would take an e55 or rs6 over it. Might even take the current M5 over it.

It's a great-looking car...it just doesn't look like a BMW.
And, yes, I'd certainly park ANY Bimmer in my garage. I'm sure it'll perform like tits.

Was it the Auto or the stick?
If thats the stick then it looks like the 6spd TL will have it whooped.

handling > speed.....agreed but let's just see how this new TL does. I would suspect it's leaps and bounds better than the previous gen.

That is not bad at all for a 3.0 litre six cylinder. I would deffinitly get the new TL over this though, and spend my money on a sick sound system, and rims.

I am unimpressed with BMW handling. I was running at Gingerman a few weeks ago in a 330i sport and I was a little disappointed. The car had way too much understeer built into it. I was expecting a much more neutral feel.

Well, I still don't like the way it looks, and that's fast enough for most people. I think the interesting thing is the active roll bar and suspension that they will have on some of the cars in the 5 series lineup. Some mags have said that they don't like the new overboosted feel of the 5 series, so we'll see.
In the end, I think it'll still outhandle the TL's fwd push-through-a-corner tendencies.

I still want a stick, simply because of the fact that it takes more skill to drive and allows me greater control of the car. Plus, there is a sense satisfaction knowing you can drive a manual car.

Doesnt the 330i have an electronic limited slip? I thought I read somewhere that the 330i uses the ABS sensors to help improve traction. BTW....I had every electronic aid off, except ABS when I was racing.
