Looks pretty good, IMO. I still like the E9x interior better, however. I'm still struggling with the monolith screen.

Why is that Idrive knob so huge?
It looks as big as the cup holder

I had nowhere to put my cellphone. Usually it goes to the cupholder but you know E9X cupholders are the stupidest design ever.

I put mine in the door pocket. There's a nice place in there that's kind of padded and my door pocket panel tilts out for access.

Well a loaded E92 M3 now is $76k. A loaded M4 being $80k.. yea can see that happening especially since they plan to offer cermanic brakes as an option.
Im hoping the F80 M3 Sedan can had for under 70k with decent options.

My understanding is that in the past, sales of 3 series include sedans, convertibles, M cars, and coupes. Now that the 3 series coupe = 4 series, sales figures of the 3 series will go down for sure.
In the past, the 3 series has been the leader in its segment. BMW sold 9300 3 series in May 2013 for example. But the MB C Class is actually not far behind at 8000. Without the 3 series coupes, it seems like the C Class might take over as the sales leader. I wonder if BMW cares about that.

My Galaxy S3 fits perfectly on the flat part in front of the screen. It's angled back and the surface is somewhat tacky.

gorgeous photos - that car looks pretty amazing! especially 3rd photo on the grey car

Not a big fan of the normal front end. The M-Sport front looks much better. It's interesting that with the E9x chassis, I prefer the E92 (coupe) over the E90 (sedan). Now in the F3x chassis, I prefer the F30 (3-series sedan) over the F32 (4-series coupe).

You must had the ashtray. My E92 didn't come with an ashtray, but instead it's just a tray. So that's where I put my cell phone.

it's not a home run for me.... it's like about halfway between 2nd and 3rd base... it's not my favorite car made by BMW, by any stretch... not even really close. BUT I do like it. I am not sold on the front bumper.. it looks downright weird and incongruent in some photos...

I'm with you guys... on the fence with this one. Still prefer the concept's front end.
That fender vent looks strange too. Like it should be larger or something.

not feeling the interior. the dash layout has too many vertical sections, making it appear narrow and cramped - which is an extremely poor execution considering the 4 is being introduced as a marginally larger vehicle than the 3, but at a premium.
as for the exterior, not a big fan. its lacking a general theme and is not fluid. the front facade looks out of place, and the huge delineation across the hood gives the appearance the the entire facade could be swapped out to your liking.
in summary: far from timeless. when the E46 M3 came out, it was a need-to-have-it, no brainer investment for a car would surely be a legend...to say the same for the soon-to-be M4??...i just dont see it. this the the first 4 series sports coupe ever. i feel more compelled to wait and see where this series goes, rather than be the first in line to get the original.

This is still a "3-series coupe" not a whole new product that needs to prove itself. Reminds me of some of the BMW guys saying they have a hard time buying an M4 because people wont know what it is. Who cares.

Looks great to me, though, I agree that the front bumper is a bit odd. but thats why they have the M-Sport bumper as an option.

something I just remembered to comment, I'm annoyed by the side-view mirrors. I'm annoyed that they resemble Mercedes designs, which I generally loathe. I much preferred the curvy organic shapes of past models especially in the M range. And even on the regular models they had their own "BMW" flair and hallmark look.
