Is anyone else bothered by the fact that the top of the side mirrors don't actually connect to the car?? I just noticed that and now I can't stop staring at it.

My generation is the same. It's needed so that the mirrors can fold up.

Now why it has two arms and not a single one, I don't know. It is probably some crazy aerodynamics feature or just an aesthetic thing. I am leaning towards aesthetics.

I didn't even notice that.

Looks a little funky but can't complain.

The car is absolutely perfect for a DD.

The mirrors are pretty sauerkraut but I am feeling the F30 more and more. Dat rear wheelarch.

The M4 rear wheelarch is awkward by comparison

I'm still on the fence between the two, I need to compare the door latches first.

I'm guessing Dinan, et al, will come up with a superior exhaust. It's a shame M didn't get it right the first time, though.

I see why they now plan to pipe fake exhaust sounds through the speakers.

Not like this is a new practice for BMW. The M5 has it too since the new turbocharged motors just do not offer the same kind of sound track or volume that the old naturally aspirated motors did.

I rarely say this, but the sedan looks so much better than the coupe.

I know, it was a joke but I agree with you.

Cant even really hear it in the cabin to be honest, at least in the M5.

Plus you can always make it better.

Agreed, I'm not a big fan of the current 3 Series (I liked the last generation more), but I actually kinda like the M3. The M4 just isn't working for me, but it could always be that awful color they're debuting it in.

On a side note: what is up BMW with different chassis code for every model now?

I am so confused.

It was very clear during E46 and before, then it got a little confusing when E9X came out. Now F30 M3 is called F80 M3? and There is F31 F32 and 4 series is something else.
I actually agree with you here in principle but I honestly think that the E46 is the best looking M3 ever made in terms of exterior styling (E92 is very close second IMO)...

And I agree with you guys that the sedan actually looks better than the coupe which is the first time in M3 history for me personally...

I personally think BMW did the color choices on purpose to get more attention to the sedan.

The E90 M3 sedan did not sell well and many I have ran into on the street had no idea BMW even made an M3 sedan.

Once the color changes on the coupe then everyone will flock to it.

For example...

I prefer the sedan as well. The thing I like more on the coupe is that the black (CF?) roof lines up nicely with the windshield. On the sedan it makes my eyelid twitch. Not sure why they made that different.

Didn't notice that till you mentioned it. Now I'm going to see that every time I look at the F80...

I personally think E30 M3 is the best looking M3 because of its simplicity.

I will wait for M4 Grand Coupe

That red M3 looks amazing.

The white is alright. It hides the curves too much

That white M3 is incredible. Except for the rear bumper which is just a jumbled mess IMO...
