"Battle of the Minivans: It goes to Honda by a hair"
Just an interesting article for those interested in getting a minivan.
"GROSSE POINTE WOODS -- Darrell Oliver sat at my dining room table, clearly agonizing over which was the better minivan: The 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring or the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Limited. "I like the Chrysler exterior better, but I prefer the Honda's interior," said Oliver, 40, a Chrysler hourly worker at the Warren Stamping Plant and a member of the 2004 Detroit News Consumer Panel. "I wish I could put the Honda's interior inside the Chrysler minivan. Then I wouldn't have any problem making a choice."
In the end, he stunned his fellow panelists by casting the deciding vote --for the Alabama-built Odyssey."

I think it was Car and Driver's who had the 04 Ody over the 05 Chrysler with Stow in Go among others in a recent comparo. So the 05 Ody should easily run away from everything else.

I also like the Odyssey. We looked at one when they first came out. The things are fast, comforable, and big without being ponderous.
As for the comments above, what do you spend most of your time looking at...the outside or inside?
The Odyssey is THE minivan to get.

I have been driving an 05 Odyssey Touring for the past month. This van is pretty quick for what it is. It also handles pretty nice. There is a freeway on-ramp (180 degrees with banking, I don't know the radius but it's pretty wide) that I take everyday after work, in both my Prelude and the TSX, I could take this turn with my right foot on the floor at 3rd gear. In this Odyssey, I could also take this turn with my right foot on the floor at whatever gear it is on (I think it's 3rd also). Very impressive. I really like this van.

I think there are really only two minivans to consider if you're in the market: the Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna. The Chrysler minivans are nice, but I'd be worried about their reliability and resale values. Still, it'll be a while before I'm in minivan territory.
Talking about minivans brings back memories of my family's first minivan - a 1987 GMC Safari. The Astro/Safari is finally being put out to pasture after a 20-year run.

"Honda has introduced an exciting vehicle with lots of neat options," Childs wrote in his log. "Chrysler is being forced to defend its minivan turf for the first time."
Yeah right, like if the Caravan was running all over the previous Odyssey... Has he ever tried the Odyssey before stating this???

Honda definitely knows how to hit the sweet spot of the American family market with the Accord, Pilot, and Ody

The "badass" minivan will be squeling those all-season tires like the little school-girl violin player riding shotgun
