Question A bar type security device for the TL?

I'm trying to decide whether to use a bar type steering wheel protector for my TL. The one I have appears to put so much pressure on the horn activating surface that I'm concerned that it might activate the horn or possibly cause a slow current drain through the horn circuit when the car is sitting for several days. Has anyone found a bar that is well suited for the TL?

I used a bar type steering wheel lock and the way i put it on is exactly horizontal, not diagonal, across the steering wheel. That way it doesn't touch the horn button.

Perhaps your bar doesn't weigh as much as mine. When I place the bar horizontally I have to do so very gently. The slightest bit of pressure will set off the horn.

Surely the horn will only sound if the key is in the ignition?

My horn sounds without the key being in the ignition. Please don't tell me that they wired my horn circuit differently from all the other TLs

Your horn should always sound without keys in the ignition. How else can the kids you tell not to get out of the car while you go and get something from the store entertain themselves?
