I liked the design of the one earlier in this thread better (with a slightly smaller grill)
I think the first one should be introduced with a new name. to me looks hot enought to be the new rs5 with two FMI hiding inside that pimp smile (grill)

I think that they'll tone down the grill for the final production model. I'm sure they'll listen to the clamoring about the big ass grill. I hope so, since that new grill is seriously fugly... and aftermarket companies will ahve a hard time coming out with decent looking kits for it.

Bigger Is Better For Next TT - - - Chris Thorp - - - Source: Autoexpress

Bigger Is Better For Next TT

Exclusive spy shots in the current issue of Auto Express magazine show Audi's latest top-secret prototype, and give the first glimpse of the all-new coupé, which is expected to go on sale in the UK next year.

Cleverly slotting the current model's familiar body over the priceless test mule, Audi engineers were hoping to avoid our prying lenses - but a number of tell-tale signs show this is an all-new car. From the rear, TT fans will notice the track is wider than the existing version's, while a look at the profile shows the wheelbase has been extended.

The new car will retain many of the current model's styling cues, but we revealed in Issue 715 how the front will be fitted with Audi's new corporate grille, while the remodelled rear will see the prominent spoiler incorporated into the bodywork, along with A8-style tail-lights. Inside, all four occupants get more legroom, while a large glass area will make the cabin brighter.

Based on the new VW Golf platform, the TT promises to offer a driving experience to match its sharp looks. The exhaust fitted to this prototype is a clue to the work going on under the skin. As with the current car, an entry-level 150bhp front-wheel-drive version will be available, but the familiar 1.8-litre turbo petrol unit will be replaced by a hi-tech 2.0 FSI powerplant. More expensive 4WD models will get the DSG-equipped 3.2 V6, but performance fans can also look forward to a mighty 350bhp turbocharged TT-RS.

Exact schedules are still being kept under wraps, but we can expect the TT coupé to go on sale late in 2005, with the convertible following in 2006.

Spy Shots: 2006 Audi TT - - - by Hans Lehmann/Hidden Image - - - Source: The Car Connection

The Audi TT sports car has been on the market since 1998. As can be seen from these photos, the company is now about to develop a replacement. The pictured test car was caught during cold weather testing at a filling station in northern Sweden. It has extended fenders and larger exhaust pipes, suggesting that the next-generation TT will be considerably wider and more powerful than the current model.

I'm sorry but that does not look aggressive. Other than the wide fender flares it looks too similar to a beetle.

Yes. It will look closer to this sketch than the body we see in the spy pics before. As Soopa said, they are testing the chassis for now.

Next Gen Audi TT

...or at least a picture of what it might look like, according to Autocar magazine (UK).

Scheduled for April 2006, and there's plans for a 350bhp Twin Turbo V6 RS in 2007 as well

--------------

read that on audiworld

Gav, any info? if its a repost, or once you do get any more info, feel free to erase my thread, make a new thread for the topic.

1. I dont erase legitimate threads (or threads whatsoever)

2. Merging is what happens when it's a post/thread that belongs to an already existing thread.

They sure ripped it off from the crossfire!
With that grille up front... can you imagine TTs in VA or NY where they require front plates? It'll look like it's got buckteeth!

Looks good. As with the first TT, this one looks like it'll embody the essence of Audi's design themes rolled into one car.

Possible new look for the Audi TT

Since someone mentioned the Audi TT in the I, Robot thread, I figured this would be appropriate.

Comes to us courtesy of Autocar UK.

The Auto Union inspired grille strikes again.
