Midnight Marauder
Nice! Its more muscular than the current model and more grown-up looking as well.

The rear lights give the backend a sad puppy look, but I still like it.

It looks awesome. I really hope the real-life version will look that muscular and that it's not just a trick of the camera or oversized wheels typical of a concept. Please keep it just like that.

Looks awesome and Audi interiors are always nice. Now, throw in a competent chassis one par with BMW and some more power. Keep the S4 lightweight as well.

'07 Audi RS4 Cab & Avant Revealed
Source: Left Lane News
From this summer, Audi will for the first time be offering additional versions of the RS 4 — the 2007 Audi RS4 Cabriolet and 2007 Audi RS4 Avant. Following the successful market launch of the saloon at the end of last year, the Avant and Cabriolet versions will be appearing at dealers from the summer. This will round off the RS 4 family. This highly emotionally charged, high-performance product from quattro GmbH unites the characteristics of a sports car with supreme everyday qualities. This is as true of the saloon version as it is of the Avant and the four-seater Cabriolet. (So far, Audi says it has no plans to sell the RS4 convertible or wagon here in North America).

to the cabrio, it's just as bright an idea as the 996TT cabrio.. some sports cars are meant to be cabrios, some aren't. and should stay that way.
the wagon is not as bad, at least it maintains the structural rigidity of the sedan.

Audi RS4 Family
Audi now has a complete RS4 family. The RS4 family is powered by a 420 hp V8 featuring direct injection that spins up to 8250 rpm. This engine powers the RS4 sedan from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, both the cabriolet and avant take another tenth of a second to get hit 100 km/h. The quattro drive system and dynamic ride control help put all this power to the ground in a civilized manner.

Burn some dust here
I can't make up my mind on the RS4. It's a sweet car but for that much money I would take a Z06 and pocket some change.
Road hogging SUV's occur because their owners don't have the slightest clue how to drive them

I think this pic is for the wagon:

And my only guesses as to why they changed it, is possibly because they think there isn't a need for a third center vent like the first pic for the cabrio. that center vent I'm guessing is to direct air into the rear portion of the wagon while still allowing the front two passengers to manage their own vents as well.
doesn't make sense to me becuase what about when the top is up? the third vent would come in handy in that situation.
who knows maybe I have them backwards

slyraskal, you do have them backwards. If you look on the door handle of the top picture, you'll notice there is a large window switch below all the other ones. On the Audi cabrios, that switch controls all four window sections with one touch and is not available on non-cabrio Audis.

Audi announces 2007 Audi RS4 U.S. pricing
Audi announced pricing today for the highly anticipated 2007 RS 4 sport sedan. Upon its launch in June, the RS 4 will have a base price of $66,000, not including a $720 destination and $2,100 gas-guzzler charge. A 4.2-liter direct injection V8 FSI engine produces an astounding 420 hp at 7800 rpm, and 317 ft.-lbs. of torque at 6000 rpm. This high-revving V8, in conjunction with a standard six-speed manual transmission and quattro all-wheel drive with a rear-based dynamic asymmetrical torque split, allows the RS 4 to run from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds. Standard 19-inch alloy wheels with 255/35 performance tires, a sport suspension with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), and a 1.5-inch wider track than S4 ensure that the RS 4 handles well, too. There will be one option package for the 2007 RS 4. The $4,700 Premium Package includes DVD Navigation and a six-disc CD changer, Homelink, auto dimming mirrors, driver’s side seat and mirror memory, rain sensor, upgraded Bose audio, Sirius satellite radio, Bluetooth, heated rear seats, and power sun shades. Rear side air bags are a stand alone option for $350.

the RS4 is way more appealing at $66k than the $80k we were going by before...

I'm a really big audi fan, and it would likely be the first company to drag me away from honda, but this is ridiculous. They make no affordable cars that appeal to me. This is not a 70k car? How they intend to sell at at 70 when the M3 is going to sell at 52 is ridiculous. That new TT was also garnering some of my intention, but wheres the 2.7T engine? Where's the 2.0 engine with AWD? You cant compete in this field with 250hp anymore unless you're a S2000. But I guess that would be more relevant to the TT sticky. But push come to shove, i'm disappointed that the S4 isnt really "hardcore" enough to compete with the M3 and the RS4 is 18 grand more than the rs4. What's a guy to do?

So bottom line, base price is really 69K and average price will be around 74K not counting dealer markups. Way too much money when you think that this is slower than a C6.
