Aston Martin confirms V8 Vantage N400 debut
From Leftlanenews...
Aston Martin has confirmed plans to unveil a new version of its popular V8 Vantage coupe at the Frankfurt auto show. Dubbed the V8 Vantage N400, the car is the same vehicle captured by spy photographers just over a week ago.
Although Aston Martin has only released a single sketch of the N400, the aforementioned spy photos fill in all the blanks. Watch for an official photo gallery later this month.
Technical improvements include a power upgrade to Aston Martin’s 4.3 litre V8 engine, lifting peak power to 400 hp and peak torque to 310 lb-ft.
The car also comes equipped with a new Sports Pack which offers subtly different driving dynamics tailored to enthusiasts who seek even more responsive handling.
The Sports Pack comprises a unique lightweight graphite-finished aluminium wheel with diamond turning, up-rated springs and dampers and a new rear anti-roll bar.
The Vantage N400 also includes a number of exterior design changes, including a revised side sill design, Magnum Silver bonnet and side strake meshes, clear rear lamp lenses and a bright finish grille.
Interior enhancements include perforated black leather seats, micro-spin alloy facia trim and a unique numbered sill plaque.
The Vantage N400 will be available in three new exterior colors: Bergwerk Black, Lightning Silver or Karussell Orange, with either Sportshift automated manual or conventional manual transmission and in either Coupe or Roadster forms.
Additionally, the Vantage N400 comes equipped with a range of normally optional equipment, including Satellite Navigation, 700W Aston Martin Premium Audio System, Bluetooth telephone preparation, HID headlamps, cruise control and memory/heated seats.

So, that's the bulk of their fleet, right there.

Wow. I dunno what to say, Moog. I think the RL is one of the nicest looking sedans on the road. How you think it's ugly is something I have trouble relating with. The RDX is not "exciting" but it's not ugly in my books either. In fact, I'd slot it in my consideration list when I'm finished with the CL-S. And the Accord? Well, I'm not a huge fan of it...but, again, I don't find it ugly.
Has nothing to do with the badge either...I'm more materialistic than you think.

And 335 COUPE...I'd consider it. But, since everyone including their grammaw owns one, I'll probably look towards Infiniti M or Lexus GS instead.
And M3...please refer to Infiniti M or Lexus GS comment above.

Vanilla...mebbe. But, it's not ugly to me and for that much of my hard-earned $$$, it needs to be reliable esp. given where I am (i.e. winters). So...yeah, it's on the list.

When you spend that much jack, you better get something with looks to match the performance.
..but then again you love the RL

So, I'd love to hear your suggestions...and no-thanks for the 5-series. If it was the previous gen., yeah. And unless what I'm reading and hearing is incorrect, the A6 may give more headaches down the road.
But, I'm all ears.

Reliability is a huge factor to my next car purchase. And so, judging again from your non-answer to what is out there, I'm guessing all I have to consider is...the A6 or an E-class...?
Thanks...

Ultra-performance/cutting edge design engineering alot of times do not walk hand in hand with reliability.
...and why all of the sudden are we talking about "your" next car purchase

Power.Beauty.Soul. I really do understand you Yumchah...I'm really in love myself...the problem is that I would never know what to choose between the Vantage, the DB9 or the Vanquish. actually the dbs would be my choice but oh well i'm too broke to even think about it...and on the side note, I'm with you with the GS. GS450 is one hell of a ride
