Yea, I test drove both the TSX and TL this past weekend. Asked the Salesperson if there were any "packages" that came with the cars. Response, "No." Glad to know that the salesforce is well educated on the possibility that they could make some more money if they only knew what was going on.

How come if it changes the camber, Acura by default doesn't offer a kit to compensate?
My personal feeling is that a little negative camber in the rear is a good thing, and these numbers are not off enough to cause premature tire wear. Only time will tell if I am correct. Since I hate the stock tires, maybe I'm just hoping they'll wear quickly so I can justify replacing them .

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
I've seen the kit on eBay for over 3k without the tires.
That's a ridiculous price. I see no reason to get it for something that's not going to give any performance gains.
And what's the deal with brakes? How can a package like this not come with upgraded brakes? Think TL A-spec with the brembos.
I'm disapointed. Not that I planned on getting it for my TSX in the first place anyway.

While I find this hard to beleive, that's what the guy said. I wonder if the fact that Acura is now shipping the Yokkie ES100s that the Tire Rack will sell these too?

Total ripoff... Honda/Acura's A-spec options are very overpriced and disappointing. They could at least have upped the hp slightly with some performance modifications
#183
So theoretically, if you dropped it, bought the kit, it would be an A-SPEC aside from the wheels. But, can't you get those from the TL A-SPEC?

Does anyone know off hand what the invoice of each part of the A-Spec package is? Someone on the TL site was able to break it down piece by piece, for invoice pricing. I would just like to know so I can use it as a negotiating too.

Factory warranty, factory installed....you pay what you get for. Having over paid $$$$ premium for the AUDI drive adn the BMW you drove i thought you'd understand or does paying lots of money only count for cars with little to no perfomance count when it has a german badge on it.
not that i'd pay 4,330...........

After owning both, i still think the audi and bmw were worth their pricing. I really wouldnt consider audi being overpriced, its slow but comes with everything you can ask for and is soild, at 30k loaded it works for me. Oh and i will bet that my car can run laps around yours at a autox. So remember there is more than a straight line when taling about performance. Oh but you wouldnt know that since everything is based on 1/4 for you.
Also why would anyone care to have a warrenty on a Bodykit or wheels/tires?

I really do think the package is overpriced though for what you get, especially considering that installation is not included.

Its dealer installed, so you're paying a nice chunk to them. It should come from the factory as a mass produced item, lowers cost allround. As far as the german premium, thats the whole point, even BMW doesn't rip people off for the performance package.

How can you not learn from others mistakes, SO RECENT.=

That is the worst factory package in the history of packages. I thought Lexus L-tuned was sorry. This is worse. Goodness the wheels are the same size and no exhaust? Not even a different grill?
$5000 total probably with dealer install. People buy TSXs b/c they are cheaper than the competition. A 30k TSX?

They are worth it because of the build quality and the factory support. Quality costs $. You HAVE to acknowledge that.
* muh car handles PRETTY well....i'd be willing to run ya for fun on a track course....or some hill/canyons

well I am glad that they are making the rims in 17 X ?? a good subsitute for my stockers, but I am assuming that they will be charging alot of $$$$$$$............still considering the price for the entire package plus installation, it will cost you mid 30's for a new TSX A-SPec.........is it really worth it???????

Acura is crazy imho with these expensive A-Spec packages. The A-Spec package on the RSX was ridiculous. It made the car cost close to $30k... all for visual or suspension upgrades.
Sheesh, the TL/CL Type S gave us 35 extra horsepower, a stiffer suspension, sport seats with perforated leather, 17" rims, all for what ... $2k? The Type S upgrade was a steal. The A-Spec package is Acura trying to steal their money back!

Burn some dust here
IMO the car looks awesome with the package but for $30,000+.....it damn sure wont be a 4 banger. It looks great, with or without the package, but for $4,300, engine work needs to be done.
