In fact this may be the first Acura in Canada with Nav. Our "Dynamic" package may be the US's "A-Spec". Acura Canada may not want to use "A-Spec" because 03 TL-S already used it. Or the only way we can get a 6 speed is to get the "Dynamic" package which is already equipped like the A-Spec?
Or Dynamic simply means
- 6 Speed
- Brembo's
- Beefed Susp
- Summer Tires (maybe 18's)
There are alot of ways this could go in Canada.
And ya that $40,000 CAD, Our TL-S was $42Kish.

For it to be right, it would have to mean that the ONLY way to get the manual transmission in Canada would be with what's basically the HPT option.
We know that you can't get HPT with the auto transmission -- you can only get it with the manual. But, it's hard to believe that in Canada or anywhere else, you HAVE TO take the HPT in order to get the MT.

Some of those specs are off.
On the '03 TL, length definitely isn't 192.9, it's 192.5. And its width isn't 70.3, it's 70.7.
And, about the figure that you show for the width of the '04, we see different numbers, and I don't know which is right. Sometimes we see the 72.8 that you show, sometimes we see 72.2. Either figure would be unusually large relative to the length.

I'm talking about the October 2003 issue of Automobile Mag, pp 98-99, "Acura TL The mantra of practical value gives way to a new song of speed".

I think I never saw it -- I was away when we got the link, and then the link stopped working. Anyway, I think the text of the review might not be available anywhere else on our board, so there it is.
And so Vtec was right -- 3 out of 3.

What we are missing is the Automobile Mag text.

That's sort of partly right, but really it's wrong.

reads suspiciouisly like old reviews of the TL-S... good competent car for the money....lots of cars in same class with better dynamics and performance...hope to sell on throwing everything inside and overwhelm people with a lower price so they dont realize they are buying a car that cant keep match the german competition again.

On a side note, do you ever have anything positive to contribute? Everytime I see your posts you are whining about something.

No one ever said the TL, or TSX for that matter, was a BMW-killer...simply that a similar driving dynamic (or at least as close as you can get in a FWD car) and a feature-packed, value-conscious product were their targets. Why is that so hard to concede?

If it ai'nt German, RWD, have a I6 or a V8, its no good. Gilbo does'nt seem to understand the fact that Honda does not want to compete head to head with the germans. Maybe they can't, maybe the can? who knows. They're aiming they're cars at different people, people who value FWD cars that sip gas are reliable and enviormentally friendly. Maybe Honda's too smart to go after the Germans?

Kind of a bland article on the TL but it looks like the 2005 TSX for Canada might be getting a Navigation System....we will have to wait and see. They actually took some nice shots of the TL.

Yet another positive review of the '04 TL. I can't wait for this car to arrive at dealers, so I can see it up close.

FINALLY acura is offering Navi up here in canada.... i've been meaning to say this - IT'S ABOUT FREAKING TIME. EVERY OTHER MANUFACTURER offers navi here..... sigh. why is honda always last to do things like this.. I'm willing to bet that now that the TL navi system is configured to canadian specifications that next year the TSX will be offered with Navi...
