Yeah, Halogens from day one. Xenon is long overdue.
Xenon is standard in the Infiniti QX4, FX35 & 45 and available in the X5, RX-330, Navigator, Aviator and many others.

i like it. The early spy shots didn't do much for me, but that car is hot. I just might have to trade in my 02 TLS. It kinda reminds me of the new bmw styling

Wow Heated mirrors, a feature thats on my dads 10 year old Maxima..
Its sad how Nissan is always ahead of Honda in featurewise but Honda is always ahead in reliability, but lately I can't believe that either...

I'll say it again--3.5 RL gave the car BRAND recognition. It's actually quite a good strategy. Brand recognition is far more important than model recognition.

Anyhow, as stated before, it's pointless arguing over a name. It's not gonna make anything better. If the name were all of a sudden replaced on the RL, you'd still have an under-performing car. Then your precious "Legend" would have dissapeared as easily as Vigor.

The name "Legend" was more popular then the brand "Acura". People actually thought "Legend" was the brand, so Acura went to the Alphanumeric designations. Acura still has some work to do with its naming conventions. I think Acura and Cadillac are definitely battling out for some of the worst Alphanumeric names in the luxury segment. Although, TL and RL aren't that bad. I think they're more befitting of an American automaker, however.

There's only so much you can do with an Alphanumeric designation. Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, and Audi made out with some of the best names. Infiniti didn't do too bad either.

2004 TL...
I am new here and this is my first post. Here are a few of my thoughts on the 2004 TL...
1. When I first saw it, I loved it. Now, ummm, I don't know...
2. It seems to lack the clean lines that are Honda. These lines can
best be seen on the TSX
3. The steering wheel is fat! It reminds me of a Chrysler steering
wheel (i.e. Concorde and Intrepid)
4. The overall design of the car looks Dodge-ish and Pontiac-ish.
5. The front, rear, and interior are its best assets.
6. The side view mirrors look weird. Again, that clean and
conservative look of Honda/Acura is gone.
7. "ACURA" on the front is hideous.
8. Add black paint, remove the character line, add integrated turn signals in the side view mirrors, add window chrome, add the current TL Type-S's wheels and we would have one nice looking car.
Finally...
9. The C-pillar screams the current Diamante'
That said, the car is overall a nice piece of work. I am just worried that it seems to be "trying to hard." Even pontiac is losing its cladding and clutter. Don't tell me that Honda is starting to add cladding and clutter. I mean the influence of Honda designs in the market is very apparent. Some have called Honda designs boring and too conservative, and blah-blah-blah - but it has always worked - well. Now others are going to the more conservative and elegant lines that Honda, seemingly, used to have. Take a look at the newly designed 5-Series. You see that character line running down its side? Now take a look at a 1998-2002 Accord. Even BMW is looking at Honda's design cues.
