C'mon man, coming from a thread where there are hissy-fits about name-brand goalies, you'd think this is pretty straight-forward logic.

I think for racing that's possible, but for the street going version of the 2G NSX it might be near impossible given all the integrated tech, electronics and S/W that goes along with it. Unless Honda provided the source code and technical info on everything in the chassis and drivetrain, then maybe otherwise they'd have to reverse engineer alot of high tech systems.

Acura | Press Releases Article | Acura.com
The NSX GT3 will be powered by a 3.5-liter, 75-degree, twin turbocharged DOHC V-6 engine using the same design specifications as the engine in the production 2017 Acura NSX, including the block, heads, valvetrain, crankshaft, pistons and dry sump lubrication system. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed, sequential-shift racing gearbox, delivering power to the rear wheels.

I should have clarified my posting, as to say "possible with 3rd party tuner shops". I knew about the racing NSX program, but I'm guessing Honda has provided all the necessary technical data to whoever (HRC?) is doing the modifications to the NSX.

I spend 2 much time here
sorry i didn't have a chance to take pics. was driving by as it was being dropped off. i went back to see if the car might be in the showroom or something and it wasn't there, probably went right to the owner.
i understand that by internet law my sighting is not valid without a picture.

i can see that one day, whatever that day may be, when the NSX finally shows up at the dealership and the fanboys will say "What you gonna say now?"
Completely missed the point of vapor.

making it personal is all worthwhile in the end and who's the name caller now lil troll.
And reason why the NSX hasn't been seen yet is because the first round is all spoken for and go straight to first owners. Just like the 911R, except there will be many more rounds of NSX production come, unlike the R.
Dues paying vaporous member of the UAT march on!

For the sake of this thread, 911R is a limited run, that is the whole purpose. If you want everyone to be able to buy 1, get regular GT2, 3 or whatever.
When Acura decided to release NSX-R, then they can say the same, but before they can do that, NSX will have to be released.
and Both 911R and NSX will need to show up at the dealerships. They cannot skip the dealer for PDI.

on a related note, he did say that TLX Type S is coming according to a rep from Honda Corp.

Per Fibby here, he's claiming people already have it but per what I've gleamed in looking for news (believe me, I am checking regularly), it's been quiet for a month now in regards to this car.
Crickets, literally.

And Fibby: This is where I think you're not reading exactly what I'm "hating" about. In order for a car to ARRIVE (per my terms), it should show up at the dealership for PREP. It does not go straight to the customer. This is not like some Ferrari-factory pick-up. Even then, there is a prep.
So, I dunno what you're talking about. This car essentially has not arrived yet as far as I know.

If I was to assign a number to how many Mississippis this car has taken to show up since announcement, I'm at 3471043937143710493714310473354542245702 Mississipps.
What's another 230470147094794371414 Mississippis? Right?

So, in short, the car has not arrived or been delivered to customers? Is there an actual date it LANDS in the customers' hands...?

Just as an example, I've been invited to numerous Porsche drive and launch events, but not a single peep from Acura. Bizarre since they already know I'm a qualified and serious potential owner.

Oh, I'm certainly not claiming anyone already has one (that I know of) just that the first round of production has already been spoken for. It certainly is baffling how Acura is handling the rollout for sure.

It's all good right? We're all asking the same question.
And again, let me repeat: When is this car arriving to the dealerships?!??? Soon?!?? Please?!? Because, frankly...given the shenanigans of this damn car since any idea of the 2nd gen. NSX came out, it's been yes-make no-make yes-make no-make back and forth until...well, today.
