By DEFINITION, you can't be stingy and spend a shit ton of money. That's it, no other way around it. So your crap about some dude owning 3 Ferrari's and being stingy is impossible. Ferrari's cost a lot of money (fyi). And how the hell is "rich people who spend a ton of money spend on things they don't need probably don't care about" a stereotype?!

source: Merriam-Webster

stereotype: to believe unfairly that all people or things with a particular characteristic are the same
Clearly you didn't look this up either. How is "some rich people spend a lot of money and some don't" a stereotype on my part?

Can't link or quote eh?

You've proven your stupidity already.

The quotes? They're in my posts. Since "reading," "comprehension," and "intelligence" clearly elude you I'm not shocked you missed them TWICE. And there's this thing called "Google" that could show you too. *shocking, I know* Its okay little fella we can't all know how to use search engines. Hey, how much is milk in Maryland anyways? (you can google that!)

Actual dictionary links that prove your definition of words, not something you wrote to believe is the definition.
And try stereotype while you're at it.

Hey gents, can we ease up on the name-calling, please? Thanks!

Now, I've asked nicely. So, play nice. I'm fine with disagreement...but, not what I'm reading right now.

Yes sir. *hangs head like a child being reprimanded*

I'll blame it on Acura for not actually giving us a real car to talk about!!

It's not because they lowball the brands.

To be honest, I have no idea why you are even bringing this up here.
I was born in Hong Kong. My wife's parents were born in China though. As such, I do read car magazines in HK and China. The premium is actually mostly coming from the tax (like 100% tax). Yup, cars in these places are luxury items, not necessities. They buy these cars so they can show off their social status.

With that said, like I said earlier, I have a friend who works at a high end car dealership. The Chinese customers would ask if they can buy a $150k car for $100k car. I don't know why they do that. The only possibility I can think of is that, in China, there's nothing to lose if you bargain/low ball.

I'm bringing this up just to show that while it sounds extremely bizarre to many of us, there are indeed quite a lot of wealthy people who also don't like to spend unnecessary money.

They will do anything or say anything just to get the high-end vehicle deal sealed with as little money out of pocket as possible.
Edward, you must be very familiar with this Chinese culture since you also live in Vancouver.

And like it or not, that are many wealthy Chinese people in the world that can afford expensive cars.

Now, don't just focus on one of my earlier points regarding how some wealthy people are stingy. I also mentioned other points such as environmental concerns. There are also different emission laws which can be a concern.

Once thing Acura is consistently very good at: Getting enthusiasts on both sides of the love or hate of Acura to go nuts...again...and again...and again.

Such a polarizing brand.

NSX Prototype set for debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed

19 March 2014

- Innovative hybrid all-wheel drive supercar to enter production in 2015

- Festival of Speed will showcase NSX’s advanced technologies, performance and handling

The ground-breaking NSX supercar, powered by an innovative three-motor Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system, and set for launch in 2015, will take centre stage at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed (27-29 June) when it takes on the world’s most famous hillclimb in front of a capacity crowd. The Festival will provide visitors with a rare opportunity to see and hear the all-new version of a supercar whose forebears gained iconic status around the world.

The NSX has a long-standing relationship with the Festival of Speed. In 1993, at the time of the first Festival, a fleet of 10 NSX were showcased at Goodwood. Launched in 1990, the original NSX was already known as a ground-breaking exotic car, delivering super performance and handling, without compromise in usability and ergonomics. Driven by UK journalists, the 10 NSX made a thrilling impression on visitors to the first Festival of Speed. More than two decades have passed and the new NSX is making its return to Goodwood. It will again open the door for a new era of the Super Sports model and Honda sees the Festival as the perfect event to demonstrate its flagship supercar for the first time in Europe.

The new prototype will be joined on the famous hillclimb by a 1989 3.0-litre NSX, once driven by Ayrton Senna himself, and a 2005 3.2-litre, illustrating the original model’s rich history and development.

I know, as more as more Mainland Chinese are moving into Vancouver, they are also bringing in all their bad habits (which according to them are perfectly acceptable in Mainland China) that are not quite welcome by the local residents.

And their luxo car buying habits are definitely not typical representations of the Western culture in purchasing luxo automobiles in the Western world.

Here's the fact that particularly puzzles me.

They claim they care about fuel cost, and they claim they care about the environment, but they don't buy small hybrids nor compact-sized Audi/BMW/Lexus/MB.

They are also the ones who end up buying all these gas-guzzling supercars and big-engined-hulking-sized luxo sedans; all the while bitching about fuel cost, and preaching about green environment.

Certainly, there are lots and lots of other wealthy Chinese and Westerners, who can well afford luxo cars, but decide to purchase and drive small, fuel-sipping small cars. These are the ones that are truly genuine.

But definitely not the ones, that your friends deal with in the high-end car dealerships, whose words and actions are so contradicting.
