this bad boy up. If 2015 turns into 2016 then '17, '18, '19, and "we've decided the time isn't right for Honda to produce a super car" will be inevitable. Maybe after seeing the FT-1 they just said screw it and gave up.

Look, I'll stop snarking and "hating" this car when Honda issues something and something that IS ON PAR OR BETTER THAN EVERYONE...Meanwhile, their competition or rather, FORMER-competition is releasing performance car after performance car...
You only compete if you have something that is worth...competing about...

Yes, yes of course. I know all about the NSX's racing pedigree. (Senna, the use Aluminum, 24 hours of LeMans, Super GT etc..) I believe I worded my statement incorrectly. What I was trying to say is that the racecars have no effect on the release date of the NSX.
I don't care if a racecar version has been around since 2011, the production version is coming in 2016.

We still aren't convinced that the new Acura NSX will ever arrive in the US. After years of "concepts" and previews, it all seems like an elaborate tease put on by Honda to mess with journalists and auto enthusiasts. We're so looking forward to being wrong...
What isn't a joke, though, is the NSX Concept-GT, a wildly awesome racer that runs in Japan's extreme Super GT series. As a sort of welcome to the weekend, Honda has some footage of the NSX racer at Japan's Suzuka Circuit. We're really digging the NSX's aesthetic when driven in anger, and the noise it makes isn't too bad, either.

Of course. It's because the V10 super car never really got that much marketing. For one, it was never shown in any auto show as far as I know. Honda confirmed that they will be making a V10 super car at the very beginning, but they cancelled the plan pretty early on too. It was nothing like the new NSX where we receive an update every few months. That's probably why you didn't know about this. It's also a lesson to us that unless we see the car at the dealership, nothing is confirmed.

Acura engineers ask us not to focus solely on the specs of the engine, but rather to focus on the performance capabilities of the new NSX. I think with the sport hybrid SH-AWD this NSX is going to be really impressive on the track.

Well my dealer is taking deposits. I am 100% certain on this because my family member of mine put a deposit. I also know 100% that there is a dealer in Boston that is taking deposits. It might only be the high volume dealers that are doing so. My dealer is the largest in TX, and one of the largest in the nation volume wise.
