Acura: NSX News
|
The front looks a bit like the current Lotus Elise. Not good on the NSX, IMO. I very much prefer the front of the current NSX.
Even though the back isn't visible, it seems like the back of it is rounded. I think the straight edge front of the current gen looks a lot more aggressive. Now this is a bit too cheesy, IMO. |
i agree, but i can't believe this is geniune
|
I like it. :)

This looks way too curvy to come out of Honda.
|
Those rearview mirrors are mounted pretty high aren't they? I dunno, it'd be a while before I'd get use to looking up instead of left or right when I needed to check my mirrors to pass...
|
Interesting how someone managed to photoshop a Ferrari bumper, an old NSX hood, added ram air intake on top, modified some RSX-style lights onto a MercedesMcLaren SLR body.
Looks neat though. J. |
looks nice! the front reminds me of the RX-7

2006 Nsx

HSC concept
Saw this over at TOV. It's the HSC concept from the Tokyo Auto show that will open in a few days. Looks very much to be the new NSX. I think the old NSX looks better.

Motor Trend said the sketch was going to be the 2006 NSX. I saw the article in the Doctor's office. Maybe someone who gets Motor Trend can scan the whole thing. I got the teaser I posted off of their web site.
Another interesting thing in the article, they seemed to confirm the 2005 RL (coming in April) will be a hybrid AWD. I sure hope that trickles down to all the sedans. :D |
As awkward as the two designs are, I thank the heavens that the NSX line will live on and give us something to look forward to in the next few years. Man, Acura seems to be getting a lot of developement funding for their projects. It seems like the NSX might be losing a couple of inches in legth, which would be a good sign, seeing as to how much it would benifit the power-weight ratio, as well as cornering. Can't wait to see this one.
As for the RL, if it is confirmed that it will be an AWD, then it seems like they will opt for that 3 liter hybrid engine for the RL. And lets pray that the AWD system is sent throughout the Acura line up (well, maybe not the RSX) as some sort of an option. Junkster, who would like to see how much HP the RL will put out. |

Originally posted by gilboman i thought they just said it was a possability?? i think they said something along the line that acura has abandoned a V8 RWD platform and the 2006 NSX will be V6 but hybrid is still a possiblity? so the RL will be RWD but no V8 and maybe hybrid? |
This thread says we are both wrong. No Honda V8, that is given and hybrid for sure for the RL (like I said) and maybe in the NSX (like gilbo said). Just search thread for Motor Trend

Looks OK. Has a little RX-8 in it, which is a shame, heh heh.

Originally posted by domn That pic is from the Tokyo Auto Show. It has a 300+ HP V6. With the possibility of Hybrid power avaiable as we all already knew. No chance of a V8. |
I'm willing to be honda's new performance hybrid will debut with the next nsx. I wonder if their continued work on the problems involved is why the nsx has been so delayed in coming to market....

Yeah...That things the SHIT. Unfortunately, unless I hit the lotto, I'll just be drooling as one drives by.:(
|
I like the rear end the best. The LED taillights look awesome. But the interior is so cool.

You figure this new NSX would have more than 300 hp!!!!! |
I wonder what the employee discount on one of those will be?
|
the NSX needs a V8 or V10, otherwise don't build it.
|
IS it just me or does it look like a ferrari enzo?
|
yeah sort of but not as ugly as the enzo.
|
definitely looks like an enzo except not as pointy/edgy :ninja:
|
Ya...like the enzo without the wedges/f1 style hood and probably without the 650 hp too:)

Geez, why doesn't Honda just drop one of its F1 engines in it (V10 or V12?), like McClaren did with it's F1 exotic. I'm sure Honda could detune it and smooth it out a little (although it would probably get 5 miles to the gallon).

Ya I think that was a 650HP V10. But it was built by BMW which was'nt even in F1 at the time. I thought you were reffering to the new Mclaren Mercedes SLR. |
