With a V6 twin would be cheaper and easier to make. Just like the ford v6 ecoboost. That motor is making some serious power in the aftermarket pretty easy. It would be nice if honda offered a v6 tt like ford does.

Yea, last week I had a auto 2013 SHAWD TL, I was pleasantly surprised at the feel and handling of the awd system, but it felt like a fat pig when accelerating and a bit much body roll when cornering.

I did miss the SHAWD when I got back in my 07TL

The reason i said single is to make NSX TT more exclusive. If it was up to me. Make the V6 TT, i could careless about NSX because i can't afford one anyways.

The last thing u wanna hear is my 40k sedan has the same engine as the $140k NSX

Suspension on 6MT has some improvements over the slusher (can't remember the exact specs), definitely feels better. But yeah, if the same powertrain was in the TSX and about 250lbs lighter, it would be nothing but win.

It wouldnt have to be the same engine. They could use the standard SH-AWD and not use the electric motor assist to keep costs down and keep the RLX and NSX more exclusive

Awesome! I was starting to worry thinking that it would have only 400 horsepower but I'm sure it'll be much more. You figure 400 something from the V6 and electric motors and slap a couple turbos on it your talking 500 plus with great fuel economy and torque vectoring all wheel drive. Good job Honda.

Well, I'm fine with changing the title of this thread to be "Acura: Vaporcar news".

But, some of y'all went ballistic when I did that to the Ferrari Poopdick.

Save the jokes and goofs for Car talk or within the thread.

Mods get bent when threads go off topic in Automotive News.
Same should go for the thread titles.

Otherwise you are gonna have clowns getting real "creative" with thread titles.

We are VERY serious in here....or at least that's what the mods try to sell us.:tongue :

No worries, if Honda would ever make a V6TT for their sedans/coupes, there would be many things that can be changed from the NSX's V6TT. I'd imagine some of the technologies put in the NSX's engine would be too pricey for a $40k sedan anyway.

The 6MT model is also ~110lb lighter, and most of the weight saving is in the front.

I think this is where the TLX comes in. TSX never got SH-AWD because Acura didn't want the car to compete with TL. But the TL is too heavy to be nimble. Combining TSX and TLX into one car should make things more interesting (i.e. TSX size/weight, TL's hardware).

Is that still the concept or production version?

I am more interested in the S660 next to it... why does it remind me of CRZ with top chopped off?

If that is the final version its actually nice looking. They incorporated the beak much nicer on that than any other car to date.

It's just a matter of time before a twin-turbo V6 will make it into the premium Acura sedan/SUV lineup.

Turbo I4 engines are inadequate for the big and heavy Acura vehicles.

I don't really follow the NSX, but how come they are already moving on to different versions? Whatever happened to the one in the Superbowl commercial... what? 2 years ago? (With Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno)

That was just the concept, the final design wasn't established. They've been tinkering with the design which has led to what we see now and even that isn't 'final' yet.

They'll keep tinkering with it until we're all in wheelchairs and walkers. Then, announce it.

By then, the world would've had V16 or V18 engines. That is when Honda announces a V8 or V12 in the NSX.

You watch.

I'm just hoping that one day I can be in an Acura again, an Acura that I loved as much as I loved both of my Integras. I was really hoping that the ILX would live up to that, but so far it hasn't.
