Agreed. With the addition of the RDX, the MDX will have a little room to grow. Also, the midsize crossover trend is toward SUVs that a now a bit larger. The Q7 is a largish SUV; the next FX will grow, to make room for the CX; the RX will grow to make way for the baby Lexus SUV; the Enclave is almost as large as a Tahoe... Personally, I think it's a good looking concept. It's not a very far departure from the current version, but people will know it's an all new SUV.

He's right...let's lock this thread up, boys...it's only a concept drawing.

We're not allowed to discuss it anymore.

It looks much better than the current MDX. It does look like a big RDX; which isnt necessarily a bad thing.

Even though it doesnt look it, I think it still has a third row.

bleh. the front end looks decent, the rear end looks bland; typical Acura.

I bet the interior will be hot though; typical Acura.

I hope so, cause the current MDX's interior is anything but hot. I don't even find it luxurious.

why do people always say this? the production cars usually look like slightly watered down versions of their concepts, which look VERY similar to their concept sketches. i don't know why people always say the final product looks nothing like the sketch when they actually do.
tell me, does the actual rd-x concept look like it's drawings? i think it does with slight changes to the lights.

The fact that it shares so much with the rdx makes it all the more less exciting. I don't think Acura really gets it. That grill is the suck though, has some family truckster cues.

it's almost like a FX front and Audi rear end smashed together.

if there's one thing acura can't do, it's exterior design. they really need to get rid of that 5-point grille cuz it hurts acura's design. mazda does a MUCH better job designing cars that incorporate the grille.

With the exception of the RL (little bland looking), I think the Acura lineup are hot exterior wise.

If the RL had the front bumper of the one in the little pic on the website, "brighter" tailights, and 18's it would make a HUGE differenct.

The hood looks a little longer than the current model. Reports over at TOV says it'll be the most powerful V6 in an Acura, so...maybe those murmurs of a 3.7/3.8L V6 are true after all.
