Truthfully, I like the Civic dash more. It's driver-centric at least. Though I had the dual screen thing they've got going on in all their cars.

Anyone else notice the small front bumper piece between the hood and the grille in the MMC? Kinda lame and ruins the lines... but I guess they wanted to keep the pre-MMC hood, but had to design this small piece to fill in the gap the old front bumper cover used to fill.

It looks like the headlights might fit the pre-MMC. Follow the hood lines and it looks like it might fit. The pre-MMC appears to be a little shorter than the MMC, but this might be because the pre-MMC front bumper cover is sticking out a bit and is covering the last inner bit of the lights.

Small nit pick, but details matter.

passenger side... wheel spokes point toward the rear

drivers side... wheels spokes point toward the front

This car is still a jazzed up Civic. I'd rather buy an Accord Touring for the same price and get bigger car with a bigger engine.

That's a CIVIC.

ILX is beautiful. It's Acura. It's basically the modern version of Integra.

That lightness. That K20 engine. That weight distribution. That handling. ILX is actually much better than the old ITR.

That would require directional wheels which I'm sure isn't what most car makers want since that then can easily be mixed up and then look horrible.

Most directional wheels I know are very high end and wouldn't be used as OEM by a company like acura... maybe on an AMG.

I'm pretty sure nobody makes directional wheels. Look at the Audi R8, you'll see the same thing.

I think they did a commendable job of updating, it really all depends on the pricing. If they can still start this thing in the 26-27k for the base model, it could do okay. Couldn't be worse than how its doing currently.

Acura made directional wheels for the 1996 - 1998 3.2 TL

They made direction wheels for the Integra back in the day as well. My '91 Integra LS-SE had directional wheels (painted in all white, no less).

Unfortunately, this dash has already been in use by the RLX/MDX/TLX.

It has become the Acura signature dash and will eventually deploy in all Acura vehicles.

Yep, its one of the many reasons I don't like the TLX.

And I keep forgetting the RLX exists so I never look at it when I stop by the dealer.

Same with my cousin's early '90's Integra.

Note the front and back wheels are mirror images of themselves (i.e. directional). Rear wheel should have been put on opposite side of front, or front wheel should have been put on opposite side of rear.

Acura: ILX News-kdzewaw.jpg

This person got it right. Note how the spokes are spiraling toward the front of the car on both the passenger and drivers side. Directional. Acura just doesn't give an F.

1G Integra had OEM directional wheels

There was a L and R cast into the wheel to indicate.

CRX.... loved that car.

It wasn't just Honda/Acura that offered directional wheels either.

I'd be interested to see current and recent Gen cars have directional wheels with L and R specific.
I don't think many.

I think most modern day cars have wheel designs where the spokes are symmetrical so you won't see too many where they can have a directional design.

But the 2008-2012 Tesla Roadster had directional wheels

Add the IS-F to that list too.

I can't find a Hugh quality photo of all four wheels, but they are directional.

This enable the ILX to have superior aerodynamics and handling capabilities over all of its competition.

Really? PWin about directional wheels? Is the automotive news of the day that slow?

I had a 1986 Prelude Si and my wife (g/f at the time) had a 1986 Integra. Both fun to drive cars.

But if you get a chance, ride/drive a new Accord Sport. I did recently and the new Accord Sport model is very fun and 6MT. Like the good old Honda days
