2006 BMW Mille Miglia...

BMW has unveiled a new concept car prior to the 2006 Mille Miglia. The car has hints of today’s BMW Z4 Coupe mixed with one of BMW’s most famous racing cars, the BMW 328. The bodywork is based on the legendary two-seater that Fritz Huschke von Hanstein and Walter Bäumer drove home the victory during the Mille Miglia in 1940. Under the skin, it’s powered by modified drivetrain and suspension from the new Z4 M Coupe.

I absolutely hate it. This is a mixture of Bangle's "flame surfacing," retro styling, and ugly touches everywhere. Geez that's terrible.

The side is clearly BMW with the flame surfacing, but the front looks Alfa. You can hardly see BMW in it, save for the barely recognizable double kidney-grille.

Interesting Art Deco feel to the design.

Meh... It's Avant Garde for the sake of being Avant Garde... but if it's supposed to be beautiful in the sense of it being an art peice, it fails. Audi does Avant Garde much better.

If it's based on the Z4 as they say, it looks a lot bigger than it is. When I first saw it, I was thinking it might have a 7 series or Z8 under the skin.

Too retro and illegal in CH - no muffler exhausts allowed forward of rear wheels.

The front view actually reminds me of the scene from Dumb and Dumber when the chick had the headlights in front of her .

They could be twins!!!

Criticism aside, I can't help but like it. It looks cool.

The law is on the books but I'm not sure how well it's enforced. Anyone that can afford an SLR or Viper might have a "way" around the rules.

needs a more aggresive stance IMO. That car needs to be lowered at the very least an inch and a half. Other than that,
