There's not enough of a performance-based difference between a regular GT 5MT and a Saleen S281. I'd rather buy a regular Mustang GT for $26k, slap on the Saleen body kit and the center exhaust, and throw on a Procharger and still save money over the S281. The S281 is just a waste of money to me.

but when you slap on the procharger you throw away the warranty...which is something left intact when you get a saleen.

Think the Saleen version is what the Cobra should have looked like...just looks so much more thought out as far as giving the car a fresh look versus the GT version.

I murdered a non supercharged one a few weeks back, in my Trans Am. If the blown one is anything like a cobra, then he would have put up a better race. But i didnt hear any whine when we got on it.
