Detroit auto show: World vehicle introductions announced

Detroit, Michigan - Organizers of the 2005 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, January 15 to 23, have released a preliminary list of worldwide production and concept vehicle reveals.

Production cars to be unveiled during press days January 9-11, include the Audi A6 Avant, Ford Fusion, Dodge Charger, Ford F-150 Harley, Lincoln Zephyr, Lincoln Mark LT, Mitsubishi Raider, Subaru B9X, and Porsche (unnamed).

Concept cars to be revealed include four Ford vehicles, Kia KCDC2, Smart Formore, Volvo 3CC (shown recently at Michelin Challenge Bibendum), and unnamed vehicles from Hyundai, Jaguar, Mazda, Mercury, Saturn, Suzuki, and Volkswagen.

North American premieres will include the Aston Martin Vanquish S V12, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Rio, and a new Mazda.

Detroit, Michigan - Auto manufacturers released more info about new production and concept vehicles that will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.

Mitsubishi will a version of the Dodge Dakota, called the Raider. The mid-size, four-door pickup will go on sale next Fall.

Chevrolet will unveil the Corvette Z06 convertible and a new Monte Carlo coupe.

Ford will show the new Fusion midsize sedan which shares its platform with the Mazda6.

Audi will show the A6 Avant (station wagon), the A3 Sportback (hatchback), and the A4 sedan and wagon. The A4 gets updated styling and a new 2.0 litre turbocharged four cylinder engine.

Hyundai will unveil a new concept car, the details of which are being kept secret. The redesigned 2005 Sonata will also make its North American debut.

Porsche is being secretive about a new production model which will make its worldwide debut in Detroit. They'll also show the redesigned Boxster, and the new 911 Carrera and Carrera S.

Mazda will show its Mazda5 'space wagon', a small minivan with sliding side doors and 'six plus one' seating.

Volvo will display the new V8-powered XC90
