I just dont get why will the G35 be holding its value so well. With that aggressive pricing, I expect that car to be bought by a lot of people that are looking in that category.

some of those numbers are very impressive. 50% or near in value after 5 years is awesome.

isn't the g35c kinda rare tho? i only see maybe 1 or 2 at the dealership at a time...maybe the demand is high, but production is kinda limited

That's because it's only out for a year and it's a coupe. Meaning coupes dont sell well anyway. That's whay I wrote "folks that are lookging to purchase in that category". Meaning the luxury sports coupe category.

I'm not sure I agree with those numbers...Just from seeing the auction results already...G's are not holding value too well...

And the Mini Cooper is not too impressive...the ones that show up are in the low 20's...considering they were bought at nearly $30K(with the nice mark-up), that's a hell of a drop already.

Well you can't figure that markup in...some dealers don't charge it, the Mini dealer here does not and as a result is sold out for 8 months (still to this day) becuase people have come from as far as Washington to get one for the right price. No car is worth that markup, and those people that paid it deserve what they get...

That is certainly a rarity...a BMW dealer selling a new model at MSRP.

That's unheard of around here.

Yeah its pretty crazy...my roomate went in to test drive one, and I headed in to take a peek at the M's (I have to...god I just love those cars, though the dealers/drivers may be snobbish asses)

I saw a car from Seattle in the lot and the sales lady said they had come down to pick up their S. It does seem rare, since I know they were planning to jack up the new 5 once it got in...according to what I heard going on in the conference room. But the Mini lady said they were selling Mini's right at sticker, no more no less.

Its odd to me that people pay over sticker...like those guys driving around $40k S2000 8 grand (on top of the 4-5k hit, for buying) gone the second they sign the papers... The dealer here with the most volume had it marked that high, saw that when we were getting my younger brother his 00 Accord. The sticker said ADP...Additional Dealer Profit...what a load of shit...course, they had an s2k and the dealer up the street had none, since they were selling at sticker...but if you could wait 6 months for the order to come you didn't get jacked on the price.

Now, that's funny...because Me & the wife were about to purchase an 03 s2000 for $30K flat...about $2K off sticker...

I guess it just boils down to where you are...not too many BMW dealers around here...but plenty of Honda dealerships.

I was looking at the new 04 Z vert...

$7K markup...sticker said $43K OTD.

They sold both a red & black unit to older couples in one weekend...

...HA!...Baby-Boomers & their nostalgia...fueling the economy...

G35Cs are still selling at MSRP in some areas, and used one's are not easy to find as some other cars. Most of them are going for 32-33.5K, not too bad after 1 year and 8-12K miles. I heard there's still a 2-4 month wait on an ordered G35c too.
