Are you talking about putting these in your trunk? There's no way in hell you'll get a decent box design out of your trunk. Just a heads up. You didn't listen to me before, and then you saw I was right, I wouldn't make the same mistake twice if I were you...

Also, I think you're a little low on your electrical & amps budget, especially for something this big. My new alt+2 batts (for bassrace support, longevity more than instantaneous need) are going to be about $1200... And that's a 175A alt that does 125A at idle and is externally regulated. So you're talking about an amp that does 6-7kw for $800? Sign me up (if I needed an amp that big, that is). Plus you're going to need more electrical than I'm getting to support it on a daily basis... I'd guess you could get just wire+alt+batts for $2k. Then a good amp is going to be another 1200-1500... So, maybe $3500 or so for decent stuff. Although, I'm going with new prices, since I don't like to trust used goods much, unless I know who's used them personally. You can find better deals out there on both caco and ca.com.

Yea i was going by ca and caco price on amps and batts, and getting a new alt. I was thinking for now prices :
$1000 amp 7-8kw
$500 alt 250 rinho
$500 batts 1 under hood 2 in the back

Then I want another alt and 2 more batts when I get more$$

Any recomended style box to build?

I would up the amp expected cost to around $1500 or so. You can get a big Stetsom or Soundigital for that cash, and it'll push those XXX-15s like a mofo dude. A couple of Sundown 4500d's would work as well, but those are nowhere near cheap... Seriously, you get what you pay for in this game. Eventually, you'll learn that, I'm just trying to help you learn sooner.

As for the enclosure, like I said, either half or full wall. Like I said, if you really want to get loud, it's going to take quite a bit of work, and time and effort in the box design/build/test/tune stage of everything before it's up and running 100%. It's not going to be a cheap/easy or lightweight build. Just a heads up, like I said earlier, you're not going to be able to do much speed wise if you want to be really loud. I could see either a 1/2 wall or for sure a full wall bassracing 49.9 with proper electrical backup and good power. You think your 4 12s and an 18 were loud? You'd have no idea what hit you with something like this build done correctly...

When you say half wall.Does that mean I can retain my botom seat cushings and basically have the box made like the 12 box now ?
Or are you talking about building the box where the rear seats would be.

Doug (Pioneer~Saturn) has a half wall... That should give you an idea of what I mean... It's a box that will fill the lower half of your backseat. It likely won't be as loud as a full wall, but it will get loud for sure, and still gives you a table to eat lunch on (done it with Doug's) and you can see out the back. The one disadvantage (although you might be alright with 15s) is that you don't get the same volume or you have to sacrifice some in your port area. Like Doug has enough port area, and it's tuned low, but it cost him most of his trunk to do it. If he did a full wall, he could have a lower tuned SPL wall and still have a trunk full of batts/amps...

I'm not ready to give up the rear seating area.So what ever I do has to be from the rear seat back and back.I can give up all the trunk has to offer.

You might be able to squeeze a 39.9 out of them from your trunk. You're going to have to run a tiny ass box, with small as hell port, which will choke the subs like hell. It'll do one hell of a number in port wars/super port wars though. But those groups don't really matter if you ask me... Come on back to these when you've got power and space to work with...

So I played with the cracked basket 15 today trying to put it in a box but it would not fit.I fliped it with the sub facing in and threw the cooling hole you could hear a chattering sound when playing. But with the sub not powered pulling the cone its perfectly smooth no slinky no coil rubbing. The only thing I can think of is that it was botomed out and 1 of the lower pieces is floating around in there or is bent. When playing in a box with sub facing out with towels around the section the would not go in.The sound was barley noticeable.Still have'nt put a multi meter on it yet.Just wish the noise was completely gone.I know once its moving you wont be able to hear it but.....This one might get a recone too.

I told you to quit being a cheap ass and buy a complete recone and new basket for it... That's about what it sounds like is that the crack in the basket is causing the sub to fuck up... I wouldn't run it at all until you get a new basket...

Its not I'm being cheap.Hard times have shown its ugly face on me man.I have'nt been able to land a job in the last month. So I have not had one in a month. Also the wife just lost her 3 1/2 year job the other night for fighting in her work. And this was the same night we just spent $500 on her birthday limo, and I spent almost $600 between both subs and the one recone the week before..So its tuff right now.I'm the last person to be cheap, but I'm not going to buy things till everything get smoothed out.We got a house, multiple cars,a son, whole familiy gig.

I'm a broke college student, living on ~$225 a week, and getting by... I understand where money's tight. The bookstore wouldn't take my debit card today since there wasn't enough money in the account to buy the book i needed. Fortunately, the part I actually needed only cost me 1/3 of the book cost, so I'm good now...

I think I found a box I might go look at,and try to test fit so I can get my 15's in. The box is roughly 6.38 cu.ft. And that will get me to my subs min. cu.ft. But I'm waiting for the seller to contact me about the tune and if he even still has it.
It's made out of birch also a plus. Can anyone figure out the tune ??????????????
port is 12" tall 5.5" wide 12" deep

No... Lower tune means a longer tune. The problem is that when you add length to the port, you also decrease the internal volume of the box, which raises the tuning...

Best way to get the tuning you want is to build your own box... Design it yourself, or have someone design it, and then build it yourself... That's the best way to get the box you want...
