Woofer swap question

Hey everyone,
im new to this forum and had a quick question. I just bought a 2009 rdx with the els sound package and blew a couple speaker, since I was planning on replacing with kicker csc's I decided to just install a dvc kicker sub as well. My question is, can the els amp handle the sub being wired in parallel for 2ohm impedance or am i stuck with it being wired in series?

I believe that the factory sub is 2 ohm?.. Can you put a meter on the OEM sub terminals or wires and get a reading?
