2003 Acura CL Type S

So I finally ran my 14 gauge speaker wire through the door boot but I am uncertain how to connect the OEM acura tweeters so that they can play simultaneously with the rest of the system. I have a 4 channel amp 4 ohms output with fronts(6.5) and rears(6 x 9) installed. All 4 speakers are currently working.


My initial response was to try tapping(piggyback) into the speaker wire connected to the front 6.5's only to have the 6.5 play and the tweeter still quiet, without sound. Is there a particular manner (series or parallel) in which they have to be wired in order to hooked up with rest of the system??..........


Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated
