I was wondering if the Alpine type R 6x9 fit in the rear of the TSX and also the Type R 6.5 fit in the front and back sit doors?

 

The Alpine 6x9's will fit in the back deck, but the speaker covers won't sit on them correctly since the face of the aplines are about 1/4" thicker than the stock. I'm sure the 6.5 will fit in the doors, but you have to take the thickness of the grill in to consideration when making the spacers we are forced to make. See the DIY step-by-step to making door spacers. As far as the 6x9's go, they may have to be mounted from below to work properly.

 

The 6X9's will fit without any modification. The 6.5's will probably need a 3/4" spacer in the front (if you are doing separates), a 1/2" if you are doing coaxes. I have the Type S 6.5 separates in the front and they needed a 3/4" spacer in the front (came in the box) and I used 2 1/4" spacers for the rear doors w/ 6.5 type S coaxials. I have the Type R 6x9s in the rear so I know those fit.

 

Do those have a grill?

 

They come with a grill, but I didn't use them.
