Thinkin a saz1500d will do the job for now. Gonna be a 4 cube box sub up port back for good times. Just wonderin who this good amount of flex beloings to

Looks like a 97 2.2L... Not sure who it is, but it's definitely flexing quite a bit...
If you want to get louder, add more power, not cone area... I'd run a pair of 12s, but if you're set on a bigger sub, go with a 15. I doubt you'll be able to fit an 18" sub in it's needed enclosure in our trunk... I have a nice box for a single 15, if you lived closer... 2 beefy 12s and a couple thousand watts should be more than loud enough... And by a couple thousand, I mean more than a 1500...

true dat i thought about maybe 4 10's or i dunno. i would love to run a saz3000d. But man dont have the ele to back it up. Im sellin my bike so maybe i could do 1-2 bigg back batts, and a 3k. So watcha think for gettin nasty nasty loud 2 12's or 1 15. and prob with 2 12's is i gotta find 2 dual 4's to run at 1 ohm, cuz sundown does not warranty for 0.5

What happened to that trade you PM'ed me about? Those 4000s would support almost any amp you wanted, including a SAZ-3k...
I tried 4 10s, but the way I wanted to do it wasn't going to work. I was trying a ported clamshell, but there just wasn't enough room to get all 4 10s in there with optimal airspace for them. If you did the enclosure another way, I think it'd be possible. And with something like SD SA-10s and a 3k, you should be pretty damn loud. Might try subs up port back. Not sure how much space they'd need, but 1.25 each should be solid. That 15 box I did was 3.5 cubes tuned at 33hz. It worked out very well for what I needed.
If I were you, I'd check out DD's (you had that 15, so you know what they can do), or AQ (same thing as DD, but cheaper). If you're looking at 1 15, that's what I'd do. They're extremely loud, but unfortunately, won't give you the best SQ. Another option would be a couple Fi BLs or AA Havocs. I looked at the Havocs when I did my single 12 build, but ended up going with the Alpha. Now, I'm back with the Fi/AA brand, and I'm very happy. I'm using the Chaos' (SSD's) and they're solid, but you'd probably want more. Go with the BL/Havocs and I'd guess you'd be pretty happy with the SQ and SPL... Also, lvl 4's since I know you ran lvl 3s and were happy with them for awhile.

That sucks... As for 2 12s vs 1 15, the 12s will have more cone area, so theoretically will be louder. The only thing that would concern me would be box size, when you add in batts and such. 2 12s would probably need about 4 cubes net. 1 15 can do very well in 3-3.5 cubes. Just a heads up... Although with 2 subs vs 1, you won't have to have the top of the line subs. For example, with the 12s, you only need them to handle 1500w, whereas the single 15 would have to handle the 3kws... Those subs are going to be much more expensive, and won't sound as good...

Don't run those small 15" subs. You know you want a real sub like this one: http://www.diycable.com/main/product...roducts_id=692
