I am looking to put a Playstation 2 in my car. I want a set up like SNOOK has where it flips out where the cd changer is. What size can I fit in there and how would I hook up my playstation 2 to it? How much would installation cost? And if any of you guys have done this how much money did you put in total. Pics or any info would be great. Thanx

the screen that is in snook/tim car is a pioneer avx-7000 which was replaced recently by the pioneer avx-7300 which will not work in this type of set up...trust me on this i have tried it....you could use the panasonic 7" lcd motorized monitor which silverknight did in his cl..... as for the installation i dont know how much someone would charge but i know the unit and the av master unit will run you towards the $1000 range....and as far a hooking up the playstation to it simply take the a/v cables from the playstation and connect them to the inputs of the a/v master unit.... my suggestion is to go a head and replace the stock bose headunit with a alpine or pioneer motorized monitor....and maybe a eq or something to take up the rest of the space....the installation that snook/tim has will probably run you alot of $$$$....

Anybody know of anything a bit cheaper to get a moniter installed so i can play PS2?

snook: if you read this, i would love to know how you installed the lcd screen above the stock headunit.

i just bought the pioneer avx-7000 and removed the HU, but am puzzled how you were able to get it all to fit properly. any help is appreciated- from anybody with experience in fitting a lcd above the stock 6changer

there is step by step directions on how to do it (in a cl I think, but it is essentially the same for out TL's), the only thing is I can't remember if it is on this site or the CL forums.

actually, snook's original flipped out of the storage tray on a non-navi car. if i remember correctly, part of the installation required removing the faceplate to allow it to fit inside.

are you suggesting to us that you want to change your headunit now? if so, find a flipout that fits your budget and meets your needs. alpine cva1003 was being closed out at crutchfield for $599 a while back. you can get no name flipouts like trc, necvox, pyle, etc. or go with the older technology/style screens like clarion.

otherwise, all you need is a monitor so be creative...replace rearview mirror, custom visors, etc.

your sig says you have naviation so you can get the av electronic plug-n-play unit to convert your navi screen into a monitor.
