What Size Power Inverter for PS2?
I'm getting a portable DVD player with an LCD screen and it has input for video/audio which would be great for adding our PS2 so my kid will be entertained on the way to the beach. This is not a permanent install, so I'm looking for a quick solution.
My question, how many watts would work for the PS2? Would this one work?
Radio Shack 60W Inverter
Also, I assume that both accessory jacks in the TL are identical so it doesn't matter which jack gets the DVD player and which gets the PS2. (???) Is there anything I'm forgetting?

I don't know for a fact...but i don't think 60 watts is enough to power the PS2. A 60 watt power invertor is made to be used with lower powered notebooks. The DVD player with built in screen doesn't use alot of power. Around 10 watt I would say. Get a 150 watt one...but i recommend getting 300 watt. Never hurt to have more. I think Big Lots (Pick and Save) is haveing a 400 watt invertor for 29.99

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm actually headed out this afternoon to pick up an inverter along with the portable DVD player. Best Buy has a 175W inverter for $40 or a 300W for $50.
Anyway, if you guys see this before this afternoon, which do you think is a better deal? The 7" Initial IDM-1731 from WalMart for $279 (gotta check if it has inputs) or the 7" Audiovox D1730 from Sams Wholesale Club for $329 (has inputs for PS2). To be truthful, they look almost identical...the Initial is probably a clone of the Audiovox, but I can't confirm this.
I would have liked to do the headrest thing, but I couldn't see paying that much money.

Update: Sams didn't have any D1730's and WalMart didn't have the IDM-1731. The only thing they carried was a 5" Initial and it was $280. THey thought I was crazy about the price on the 7" and I explained that it was on the friggin website!!
Anyway, I ended up finding a cool one at Best Buy. A 16:9 7" Polaroid Portable DVD player. It's pretty sweet and it works with the PS2 perfectly. I mounted the PS2 under the passenger seat and hooked it up to a 175W inverter that resides in the center console. The whole setup doesn't look too bad with the wires tucked away - the DVD player fits nicely between the two front seats and can be folded up stored when not in use. BTW the DVD player was $287 and I had a 10% coupon + Best Buy let me use an additional coupon for a $10 gift card for every $50 purchased. Cha-ching!!
Ready for the 5 hour road trip...only problem. Now me and the wife gotta fight over who drives and who plays PS2 with the kid. Normally I insist on driving...
