Hey guys. I have tried searching, but could find nothing. Damn 3 letter words always get me!
I was looking into this for another member on here, which I may be interest in doing later....
Anyone on here replaced their stock HU (Head Unit) and got one of those plastic filler pieces that is usually all bumpy??? Well I was wondering if anyone has a DIY or any idea how to WET SAND! I am guessing you can just wet sand these pieces to make them match the rest of the instrument panel. Please let me know. Thanks guys.
ALMOST FORGOT! this is the piece I am talking about (below the navi):

Hes talking about teh metra dash kit.
Simply start out with 220 sand paper to smooth it down, then work your way up to 320-400 (400 will probably be a wet sand paper) then use 600 to 800 wet sand paper. if you feel like going to 1000 or 1200 grit you can also. There is no secret or trick to wet sanding. Simply soak the sand paper in water for 15 min then use water while sanding the water lubricates as you sand (due to the ultra fine grit)
