Welding Cable for power cable?

ok so im getting ready to do an install. in my last install on my teg i used this super badass 0 gauge welding cable. yeah i know it was a bit excessive but hey why not right?

so my question is i wanna run the same type: multi strand welding cable. this time i think im gonna stick with 4 gauge. that should suffice. but will the welding cable carry current more efficiently? or is the run of the mill power cable from say stinger or whatever?

see my thinkin is that welding cable is made and subjected to way more heat than our cars will ever produce, well for this application anyway. and also not to mention its super flexible too.

also does the current travel on the outside of the wire core? or does it travel within the core?

so where are the car audio geniuses? i want to know!
