Using factory (Alpine?) navigation system on an aftermarket screen??

is this possible? i guess i can live without the HVAC controls, but assuming Alpine makes the dvd nav consoles, would it be possible to link that unit up with a 15-pin vga input or composite input? touchscreen may be a problem though, but just wondering if anyone has experimented with this....

I considered replacing the stock touch screen with an aftermarket screen in order to use a small PC with touchscreen capabilities, but didn't get very far since I wasn't able to accurately pinpoint the touchscreen connection. Perhaps now that bysin is dissecting the nav system we may get some more information. My goal is to connect a PC to the stock screen while utilizing the touchscreen input. In fact, I refuse to carry out this mod until this requirement is met.
