Usa Spec & Zune (mp3)

I know this might sound like a stupid question, but is it possible to use the new Zune mp3's on our USAspec devices? Or possibly some way to customize it to work with a zune? I currently have my iPod installed in my car, but I really like the new zune mp3's....

Are you talking about having headunit control and changing tracks from the headunit or steering wheel?

If so, it's not possible. It would take a slew of programming. If you want to just use the AUX kit, it's not a big deal, just plug it in.

your usa spec has standard RCAs on it. Just grab a 3.5mm stereo mini --> RCA cable, plug it in, and you're set. Just remember, there are dip switches on the box that either enable or disable the rca ports, so make sure you've got that set appropriately too. Your steering wheel volume control will continue to work, but none of the other functions (track, seek, random, etc) will.

Thanks, Reach!

I'll go to my local Radio Shack to pick up the cable needed. One more thing, will the usa spec still charge the Zune while connected, just like it does with the iPod?

thanks...

No, it won't charge the Zune. You won't be using the data port, just the headphone jack.
